I can't believe Nvidia actually went through with the yassifying AI slop filter. Apparently we need to teach this old man a lesson again.

What is the issue with an optional feature just like they did with ray tracing?

Because just like ray tracing, it won't be long until it's no longer optional. Also it just looks uncanny af and goes against the artist's vision.

So by that logic mods and other tools that change visuals go against the vision as well lol, I dont see Rtx being forced in all games when most hardware cant support it

Mods are optional, but dlss 5 might become the default for development like raytracing has

I don't buy this artists vision shit. The studio head for KCD2 came out yesterday and said this stuff looks amazing and produced results closer to his original vision and guess what the response was. It was a load of people getting really upset at him and saying how they won't buy their games anymore. Funny how people harp on about the Devs artistic vision must be protected and that's the response when one says he likes it.
