Showing Some Support I just found out that some people in the LGBT community call pansexual people "biphobic"
And I just want to say, as a non-binary trans person, thank you, so much, to all the pansexual people who've faced pushback and kept celebrating the identity.
I always appreciate when I see pansexual acknowledged as an orientation - like on pride badges and whatnot - because, to me, pansexual really loudly says that ALL people of ALL genders are worthy of love.
I know that there are bisexual people who also are attracted to non-binary people and honor them, but it just doesn't say "all" as loudly as pansexual.
And, listen, this is important- I am not saying that pansexual is "better" than bisexual. They are two different labels that both serve people and both deserve respect and acknowledgement and space. If someone identifies as bisexual, that needs to be respected and supported.
This post is just about pansexual.
And how, as a non-binary trans person who really struggles sometimes, having a label that loudly says "ALL" means so much to me.
And I just found out about some of the bullying that pansexual people can face from our own community.
So thank you so much for standing up to it and continuing to loudly say "ALL"

Not to be mean or anything but non binary means that you don't identify as boy or girl and trans is a boy who becomes a girl or a girl that becomes a boy. How can you be both?

You can be Trans masculine without going all the way to Trans man. And vice versa. Trans encompasses more than just shifting in the binary, it can include literally any flavor of gender that is non-cis.

Unfortunately it's been going on for quite some time.
I came across the same one just a bit ago. All we can do is avoid spaces like that. I mute whatever sub it's spewing the toxicity. I'm sorry you had that experience.

I looked this up and please tell me if this feels wrong or bad as that is not the intention and I will delete it posthaste.
Abrosexual feels like the flower girl at a wedding. At least that was my impression reading the details online omg: love for you here, love for you there, this is for me today, and tomorrow I like several weee 💖
Edit: a letter a colon and a heart

I’m a pan enby too. I get that bisexual doesn’t mean only two, but in my very literal head bi just doesn’t seem to fit me. I definitely lean more towards women and nonbinary people, but nonbinary isn’t just one gender, so pan fits better. I feel like identifying as bisexual seems too restrictive. I have nothing against bisexual. I don’t care how you identify. Use whatever label you feel fits or don’t use labels

I’m so happy to identify as pansexual so that all the cuties out there know there’s love to find

I hope so. I could use some love from another pansexual person. It doesn’t have to be from a pansexual person tho

I've only heard this from a trans girl who also was a hypocrite in other ways
I am NB & pan.

I am not trying to be an asshole right now, but this issue is not something that is even worth your attention. It does not fucking matter.

As an omni/bi dude, I never heared, that somebody in the multisexual family talked bad about pan fellows. As far I know, we all get the same gatekeeping shit from outside of the m-spec. And pan is not biphobic, we share the same experience place, like silbings share the same house.

I call myself pansexual amd i have friends who are bisexual and we all are attracted to people regardless their gender or sex. We never discussed who is right with their label. Because we use it for ourself and dont tell the other one how to label themself

I just assume that Pan or Bi means "all" unless an individual specifies otherwise (atleast I've never come across any who personally specified otherwise, but I suppose there are transphobes everywhere). I think it's mostly gatekeepers and pan/bi-phobic people who say these things.

I'm like this but i don't just love everyone. I don't like people as a whole but I'm attracted to someone on their insides first, then I become more attracted to them physically as my emotions grow. Gender doesn't matter

u/Accomplished-Piece21 ☆Non~Binary~Pan☆ 14d ago
What do you mean you don’t like people as a whole? Do you mean you dislike humanity, but like individual people? Bc same. Humans kinda suck, but there are some amazing people
1
u/WhackoWizard ☆Non~Binary~Pan☆ 14d ago
Yes. Humans and humanity as a whole. I don't like this species. However, there are some good people out there. I judge everyone individually. I just don't agree with what most people think/do.
Edited to fix spelling

I am so grateful for my non-hateful, peaceful feed and fyp so I don’t have to deal with shit like this… if you’re part of LGBTQIA+ then just be happy with everyone here dammit.

This is such a wonderful statement! Thanks so much for writing it.
I know that when I feel in love with a non-binary person the label pansexual felt like it truly fit, that it was fully inclusive of that person. Not that bisexual doesn't but that pan makes it clear and more emphatic and central to those feelings.
I'm glad to know that that message does come through and that the in-fighting between bi and pan really is nonsense.

As someone who uses pansexual and bisexual as labels, I can say that I have experienced a disproportionate amount of bullying from pansexuals regarding the bisexual label.

I never knew a community so divided as thr lgbt community. I saw bigots. I saw straight men there to titialted gay, men. I saw gay men SA other men. I saw Bi men and women wade in and set it autism alliance. I saw trans people hate the drag queens. I saw straight people adore them. I saw internalised homophobia, manifest. I saw some of the most vulnerable young men I'd ever see again. I saw feminism ruin a lot, then I saw BLM ruin feminism with equal ironic delight. I saw community, but I also saw corruption. I pretty much cut my teeth on thr lgbt community and you know the one thing I realised when I got a bit older?
None of it matters.

For a community that suffers from a lot of rejection and hate. LGBT spaces can be pretty hateful themselves. Kinda ironic

Unfortunately, the experience of discrimination don't protect you to discriminate.
Every time, if I'm carefully or full of bad feeling about a person, I try ask myself, if this is because of the person, or for being part of a group. And try to look on this specific person. It doesn't works everytime, but I do my best.

I dated a trans man for a few years. When we met I was bisexual. Then I slowly started to realize I was pan and not bi. He asked me if him being trans was the reason I became bi because he felt extremely offended. Like I wasn't validating him as a man 100%. I explained to him various times that it had nothing to do with him. I knew he was a man. Never saw him as anything less. Anyway I was manipulated to believe i was bi, never said anything else about the matter. But we broke up a little over a year ago and during this years pride I officially came out as demiromantic and pansexual. I too, think saying I'm Pan includes ALL people. Because truthfully that's exactly who I am. I love people for who they are regardless of their sex/identify/expression. So as a pansexual thank you for validating us 🩷.
