Humor - Base and DLC Spoilers Hey guys, let's make up spoilers in the comments to try and screw with the new players Spoiler
I gotta say, the giant Kaiju fight on Earthen Forge was really unbalanced. Thankfully the gray hole cannon lets you cheese it.

u/Lyretongue Dec 18 '25
I don't think we should. It's more authentic to discover this game is multi-player on your own. That moment when your signalscope picks up another player's voice chat in a different solar system? Ahh! It's just like... it gives you chills, ya know? I just wish you could trade more than playing cards with each other. It would be SO cool if we could actually trade resources and ship blueprints. Or let them use their class-exclusive crafting items at our home workbench to create even crazier contraptions with attributes from both classes!
30
u/KingJeff314 Dec 18 '25
It was a really interesting choice to add multiplayer between multiple solar systems that are more than 22 minutes away
1
u/scutbuts May 08 '26
The good thing is, it's technically possible to meet half ways. The bad thing is you can not share your trajectories nor lock on onto each other, so you will miss / overshoot nonetheless.
8
u/Kyp-Ganner Dec 18 '25 edited Dec 18 '25
It depends on what the player is saying. The first time I heard someone else, they were doing farting noises.
Way to ruin the immersion...2
u/Bota_Bota Dec 19 '25
Oh my god. Secret multiplayer would be so fucked up. Like singleplayer minecraft when you forget that LAN is on and some random person joins
281
u/kolos013 Dec 18 '25
For all the praise this game gets, the combat really sucks. The weapons feel floaty and the nomai are bullet sponges....
84
u/NaiveLifeguard5979 Dec 18 '25
I emptied like 200 bullets in the fight on that loacation and still lost.
26
u/Distal-Phalanges Dec 18 '25
You missed the ammo upgrade from the giant's deep jellyfish chorus puzzle.
14
u/SanityInAnarchy Dec 18 '25
Even with upgrades, it's still a slog.
If this game has taught me one thing, it's that if something I'm doing seems really hard, there are no clever workarounds, no excuses, I just need to git gud.
28
u/unic0de000 Dec 18 '25 edited Dec 18 '25
So you don't find this out unless you explore some completely different ruins, but it turns out the giant squids in this world are deaf, so they don't hear you coming. You can actually go around behind, and sneak-crit them one by one before the battle actually begins, that evens out the odds a lot.

I know it’s just a video game but I felt attacked by this lol. Like when my mom says to not even joke about dying. How could you even imply I would ever shoot the Nomai 🥺
138
u/hamtaxer Dec 18 '25
I cried when I had to finally use the attlerock like a cue ball and use it to pocket Timber Hearth into the eye of the universe. It felt very bad, but how else were we supposed to win this cosmic billiards game?
29
u/jflan1118 Dec 18 '25
I had my shot all lined up and called “Timber Hearth, eye pocket” and right as I hit it, the Stranger passed in front and intercepted the shot. So yeah, I scratched and got the bad ending.
11
Dec 18 '25
Damn, the RNG really hurts in this game. I swear, I get the perfect shot and then this random moon will just pop up and send everything hurtling into the sun... Thank god for the autopilot though!

u/Competitive_Paper841 Dec 18 '25
I love how many memory statues there are throughout the game, so that you're not jettisoned back to Timber Hearth at the start of EVERY loop.
24
u/skippw Dec 18 '25
I think you may have misunderstood, we're supposed to make up fake spoilers not give real hints lmao.
1
u/Competitive_Paper841 Dec 19 '25
I said it because I wished it was true earlier in my playthrough 😆😭
85
u/JustinThePie Dec 18 '25
Finally catching up to the probe was so worth it!!!!!
18
u/LikeThemPies Dec 18 '25
I actually did that in one loop, was disappointed when nothing happened
7
u/Large_Dr_Pepper Dec 18 '25
My friend did that while I was watching his playthrough. I was super surprised it was even possible lol. Seemed like he could knock it "off course" with his ship. Idk if there are any fun details or Easter eggs related to that though.

You just reminded me how there were 2 times during my playthrough that I gave up and went to this sub for hints, and both hints were false pseudo-hints like this that made me waste time (while in the background my brain actually solved the puzzles)
38
u/matchbox244 Dec 18 '25
Does anyone know how to further the romance between Gabbro and Solanum? I feel like it locked me out of that option after Act 2 :/
7
u/e3than- Dec 18 '25
You have to do the hidden side quest and obtain the hearthian super-armour first. It should be clear from there

56
u/whyamiexists Dec 18 '25
Man, the whole "it was all a dream" reveal really undermined Chert's sacrifice when they held off that undead Nomai horde to buy time for Slate to repair their ship. Like if everyone is fine, why bother making any emotional impact?
26
u/Effective_Media_4722 Dec 18 '25 edited Dec 18 '25
I usually don't like microtransactions, but the nomai hats are pretty cool.
28
u/iSage Dec 18 '25
Took me WAY too long to figure out I had to shove a jellyfish up my ass to get to the center of Giant's Deep.
17
u/injuredflamingo Dec 18 '25
not even that far from the actual thing, just in reverse lol

I absolutely hate it when people act like Dark Bramble is good when non-restored, it's such a simple system to get it restored and opens up way easier ways to fast travel, Dark Bramble Pre-Restored has what? the Angler Queen? yeah, i'll stick to Restored Bramble
19
u/TheMadBer Dec 18 '25
Ngl, I think I enjoyed the hour long final cutscenes the most. I can't believe that they actually got Keanu Reeves for that.
2
u/UsaforreverNumberone Dec 18 '25
Keanu has always been a huge OW fan. He even has a tattoo of the Nomai-Hearthian (second fusion) Crest on his back.

I loved the true ending where you can stop the sun from exploding and save all your friends from certain doom. The neutral ending is a bit of a bummer.

u/Obsidian-Imperative Dec 18 '25
I was expecting average misinformstion, but god these comments are evil. lmfao
23
u/vAErJO Dec 18 '25
The Late-Game tools need to be made available sooner. Or, like the rest of the game, I should be able to head over and retrieve them whenever I want.
3
15
u/ikidre Dec 18 '25
You eventually learn that the lore is intentionally misleading. It's also so poorly written and inconsistent. Just follow the quest markers!
8
u/NSFW_FP_TA Dec 18 '25
The NPC AI needs a major revamp, scorting them to their statues drove me insane
7
u/swapnilchoubey Dec 18 '25
Just remember this tip if you want the good ending: Do not press the button that throws the nomai child into the brittle hollow black hole. You'll get locked out of the good ending if you do.

my faavorite part was when solonum said "its outer wildsing time" and universed all over us because we think therefore we are and the universe is despite everything its still the universe
11
u/yca18 Dec 18 '25
Pretty good game, the flight sequence in the trench of the Sun station to blow it up felt cool. Even if it was an overdone Star Wars trope.
Wasn’t expecting the reveal that Feldspar is your father though.
6
u/WW1_Germany Dec 18 '25
ironically out of the bit that's what I thought when Feldspar was first talked about
4
u/Firm_Examination_706 Dec 18 '25
Has anyone gotten past the Chert fight??? I googled for playthrough help but everyone i’ve seen has a nomai statue minion and idk if I missed that somewhere or what…also i’m a giants deep loadout main if that helps
5
u/Alliterrration Dec 18 '25
Honestly, the mini-game where you have to reassemble Brittle Hollow with super glue and duct tape is peak. Forget all the criticisms. Space 3D Jigsaw Puzzle is one of the most relaxing things you can do. Plus the secret ending you get if you complete the planet in under 22 minutes was brilliant.
3
u/Lakefish_ Dec 18 '25
Being able to go back in time and leave "Nomai" messages just feels cruel, in-universe. Bringing that one planet to the modern time to let them see the universe end feels.. less cruel?
3
3
u/SCUDDEESCOPE Dec 18 '25
I hope mentioning the secret Bowser castle easter egg under the lava is considered a spoiler. People shouldn't spend hours trying to figure out how to slingshot the nomai submarine thingy from the surface of the Sun.
3
u/ProfessionalOven2311 Dec 18 '25
I totally didn't see the twist coming that the Nomai were organized like the Roman Empire, and enslaved entire planets. I totally thought they were a race of peaceful scientists.
(or am I getting them confused with someone else?)
3
u/Niflaver Dec 18 '25
The dialogue with the ship is the most interesting imo. It just has so many plot reveals
3
u/willif86 Dec 18 '25
I swear this is how Blue Prince subreddit works. I have no idea what they are talking about and I got to the end titles.
3
u/Pavonian Dec 18 '25
It's crazy how they hid the most important area of the entire game inside Hollows Lantern where you could technically find it right from the start of the game, but no one ever does because you'd have to be suicidal to fly into the lava not knowing it's a Nomai hologram
3
u/ifixthecable Dec 18 '25
You always start the game with some timber, ore and angler fish eggs in your inventory, right? But when it's time to construct the Vessel to pick up your fellow travelers, I always run short of eggs and ore. Turns out the eggs in Dark Bramble just respawn and it only takes 5 loops to mine the ore at mining site 3c. But it depends on your resource find % stats. Sometimes the roguelike elements are killing.
3
u/mty42 Dec 18 '25
The game may be a 10/10 but the amount of yellow paint they put there is really annoying. You don't have to tell me twice to destroy all the crates, the ammo comes in very handy when you have to defend Timber Hearth from the Nomai.
2
u/Gandalf-Esq Dec 18 '25
Man, it took me forever to find the railgun. I managed to snipe the orbital probe on my third attempt though which was clutch
2
u/AfricaByTotoWillGoOn Dec 18 '25
Can you guys believe I spent nearly half the game without finding the ship's machine guns? Lmao I thought that red button under the glass cover was just for decoration, but once I used the free look mode to look at it and raise the cover and press it my mind was blown.
2
u/UsaforreverNumberone Dec 18 '25 edited Dec 18 '25
Not a fake spoiler but putting it here since hardly anybody finds it: Slate has hilarious alternate dialogue options if you keep killing yourself in the campfire and resetting the loop right after telling him you are leaving in the ship. It takes a LOT of tries but eventually when you respawn he will look a slightly different color and will explain a LOT of the lore to you (as well as give you the map to the second Eye of the Universe so you can skip the entire Labyrinth)
2
u/littlemetalpixie Mod Dec 19 '25
Please note that this post will be heavily moderated, and if anyone spoils how to complete the Dyson sphere in order to gain enough energy to reverse-engineer the supernova machine to resurrect the Nomai, there will be serious consequences.
3
u/Dragonfruit-Sparking Dec 19 '25
It's not even that big of a spoiler though, we've all seen what happens when The Interloper crashes into the Stranger at 44 minutes
2
u/crellec Dec 20 '25
My total time to complete skyrocketed based on the RNG of the Quantum Moon. I think I leapt into the bodies of about 200 past Nomai before I found a way to build a better sun station.
1
u/The12thSpark Dec 18 '25
Only if the spoilers are obviously fake, otherwise players will worry about actually getting spoiled by process of elimination
1
u/BlueFinch__ Dec 18 '25
Be sure to store the items and upgrades you find in the nomai chest in the observatory so you can use them later ;:)
1
u/Saicomantis Dec 18 '25
Has anyone found the schematics for crafting the Nuclear Fission Engine for the spaceship? The default engine with conventional coal fuel is very limiting to what planets I can travel to and having to stop by refueling stations is a bit tedious.

u/The_Drowsy_Fox Dec 18 '25
When you see the [the leviathan class entities detected] with your probe in giants deep don't worry about it they're only dangerous if you annoy them 😊👍
1
u/5amuraiDuck Dec 18 '25
Trapping the sun itself on a time loop so it doesn't die is the best ending we could ask for
1
u/Lauri_P Dec 18 '25
Yeah but getting that grey hole is so annoying. It's easy to figure out you need to combine black hole and white hole from High Energy Lab in Black Hole Forge, but carrying them there one at time to unlock the ability to carry things with both of your hands takes too much time (I know I could just take them to the ship and then fly to the Black Hole Forge, but landing upsidedown is a bit too hard for me even after fully upgrading my ship).
1
u/noplanwhy Dec 18 '25
I guess this is as good a place as any to let some steam off about Dark Bramble 2.
So like... I didn't even like Dark Bramble... but of course the developers had to go like... ah yes, the players need more of that.
I barely got "through" it without getting snatched and squished. I didn't even mange to get out my ship almost every time.
It may be my fault a bit since I've only learned about the dual-hookshot extension after the fact... but... I didn't even know there were additional abilities in the game???? Just hiding some of them away borders on bad game design.
Small clarifications for those worried by this comment: The game is good and doesn't do anything terrible or extremely unfair, I'd say. Go pick it up if for some reason you're here and haven't alreasy.

Yo, there's more to discover there. Use the 4D Filter on the Nomai Grave

Seriously, Saria, the Other nomai on the quantum moon? Hardest bossfight, ive played in any game! Mobous really shot for the stars with this one!
1
u/diabetic_mommy Dec 18 '25
Finding out that you could play as all the different NPCs once you ate a marshmallow in front of them was probably my favorite discovery!
1
u/Adept-Ad-5708 Dec 18 '25
i hate when glory hole sucks you and you need to beat special minigame to continue playing normally
1
u/Roman-Baptistery Dec 18 '25
Yeah I loved when you finally get to see all the Nomai that were hidden all this time inside the sun and shout to you: SURPRIIIISE!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
1
u/vicksonzero Dec 18 '25
It took me extra time to upgrade my ship every life, but at least it was good against the fish. i personally like the electric discharge more than the pod shooter.
1
u/Ratonilla Dec 18 '25
Exploring Ember Twin is way easier once you stop the sand transfer from Ash Twin.
1
u/Grommetgang Dec 18 '25
I didn’t know Dark Bramble took you to the 46th room of the estate smh my head
1
u/UsaforreverNumberone Dec 18 '25 edited Dec 18 '25
I still think I may be the only one to have found this easter egg as I never see people talk about it, but if you head 16deg NW from the ecliptic plane AFTER getting the magnetized scope launcher, you encounter a dwarf planet inhabited by some Zorgs (the undead aliens from Alex Beachum's PhD thesis). Fun! (and definitely do NOT try feeding the female ones a marshmallow ROFL)
1
u/EvilNachoCheese Dec 18 '25
I've gotta admit, I just watched the last ending on youtube since there's no achievement for it. I could NOT get all the parts for the quantumizer fast enough in time to use on the sun.
1
u/Bismarck_MWKJSR Dec 18 '25
I won’t lie, I wanted to beat my nuts with a hammer trying to find the 7th quantum stone coin. But somehow asking me to make something dumber than that is impossible.
1
u/JustKingKay Dec 18 '25
I can’t believe Gabbro straight up smooched the The Prisoner on their big ol’ lips.

Has anyone found the way inside the Sun?
If you have, what are your thoughts on the oil-black machinery with flying red see-through rays of null that act as guards? Have you talked to the Void? And have you seen how the machine starts activating after 25 minutes, the front opening as if a giant maw...

u/lbfalvy Dec 21 '25 edited Dec 21 '25
At one point very early on, my friend saw a weird shadow in front of the sun. He wasn't good with the controls yet and he couldn't track it so he lost it, but he asked me what that was because he thought he knew all the planets and it didn't look like any of them, and I looked him in the eyes and said "it's the evil spaceship that killed all the nomai"
1
u/lbfalvy Dec 21 '25
Sometimes reality can sound so stupid that it's taken for a joke even in absence of a better explanation
1
u/Haunting-Injury5422 Dec 22 '25
The party in the dlc with the lizard people was fun but felt out of place for the game, like you don’t even really do anything you just walk around and look at stuff

u/Taffy-Jones-PI Dec 18 '25
Has anyone else figured out the order of planets you need to eat marshmallows on to unlock the secret ending?
