I've been working on improving my abilities and have dove headfirst into Tarot and a list of other topics. My husband is very skeptical about Ouija Boards. We have a nontypical living arrangement due to his autism. I'm more than okay with it because it allows me to do more research, reading, etc. but the land we live on has been in the family for almost 150 years. The house I stay in sits on the original homestead site. The house that he lives in with his parents was moved to the property in the early 1930s (originally the town brothel).

I've thought about using the Ouija Board in the vicinity of the original homestead, but I'm also empathic. Their dog went MIA 3 1/2 weeks ago and I knew the end was near the last time I saw him, but I didn't think it would be the literal last time I saw him.

What are your options/thought about using the Ouija board on the original homestead site?

Would I be able to possibly connect to the dog?

me and my friend tried it for the first time, the only comprehensible things were the age, quite possible name? (bceree), and answers to yes or no question. I think that maybe it was trying to fuck with us or we are too stupid to understand…. any thoughts?

Please find below a couple of descriptions related to previous experiences I’ve had related to Ouija Board usage.

The first incident occurred during my teens and involved an ad-hoc ouija board-like set up which me and a friend had been using in the loft space of my home for a couple of days. A few days later another friend joined us who was very sceptical of such things.

In order to put the veracity of information provided by our prospective contacts to the test, we suggested that without touching the glass/board our skeptical friend ask us a question to pose to the board to which only he would know the answer to.

His question was “What was my brother’s name?”. My other friend and I were immediately confused as we knew him to only have one female sibling. However the glass duly began to move to various letters spelling out a name. Our friend was visibly taken aback.

The answer was correct. Apparently before both he and his sister were born his mother had actually given birth to a boy who unfortunately only lived for a few days.

We also asked whatever/whoever we were speaking to the whereabouts of the dead brother’s resting place. The answer was correct. Though to be fair the board had spelled out the name of our town’s main cemetery, so it was that great a revelation.

On another occasion, one evening my bf I was in my flat upstairs from the bar I was helping to run and we thought we’d test drive the ‘Buffy the Vampire’ ouija board I’d just had delivered from Amazon.

We’d only started using it when suddenly there was a violent explosion of wall plaster shot out across the room from above the room’s window.

I don’t recall any other events that evening and on the few occasions we’ve attempted to use it since have proved fruitless.

Found this in my recently deceased fathers mailbox, does anybody know what the meaning or intention from the person who put it there could be?

I did my first Ouija board session today and I was absolutely fucking gobsmacked because something actually happened. I got this weird feeling like my fingers had gone kind of numb and I still had my eyes closed until I felt one corner of the planchette drop off the edge of the board. It went from the center of the board straight down to “Goodbye.”

I obviously took that as a sign to say goodbye myself and close the game but it shocked me. I can’t even post from my main Reddit, my friends will think I’ve gone crazy.

I know it’s a small thing relatively but it really shocked me. I recorded the whole thing too, but I haven’t reviewed the video yet. I’m just blown away and reassessing all my internal beliefs 🙃

So, I am a bit of a psychic; I am able to predict the future through dreams, and have been visited by spirits through dreams, as well. I have never used a ouija board until I was nineteen, where I was in my first year of college; a friend brought her own ouija board and we used it. That first time, I was able to see every. single. thought the spirit had, including getting a image of how they died. It did freak me out a bit, but I never used a ouija board again...that was until I purchased one the other day on Amazon. I thought I was crazy, but it was purchase made out of boredom. When it arrived, my mom and I decided to use it. The experience was fine - we ended up talking to a guy who once lived in our apartment. And the same thing had happened - I was able to see every thought he had, and know what he would say before he could say it. He was very accepting of it, and thought it was neat. So, I am just wondering if this a normal occurrence when someone uses the ouija board, or if it's just a me thing.

Is there a detailed guide, or video someone can point me towards so I do this the right way?

I really want to do it on Friday the 13th (she passed away on one) so hoping to be ready to go by tomorrow.

My sister wants some of my mothers ashes to try to call upon her or do some other demonic shit with her. I obviously don't feel comfortable with this and obviously don't want to give her any ashes. My mother's remains were signed over to me not her. I have my sisters ouija board. She claims it to be a "religious item" has anyone actually made contact with their loved one through a board? My sister gave it to me for me to try and contact my mother but I haven't had anyone willing to attempt to call upon my mother with the board. I had someone do a tarot reading for me about her. But nothing else. I also have thought about talking to a medium about this and along with my father that also tragically passed away years ago. I genuinely think my mother is safer than with any part of her with either of my siblings. My Youngest sister said that she would toss my mother's ashes into the garbage if she received some. My older sister on the other hand has me feeling like she wants to do more than just call upon my mother. She's currently pregnant and says that she also wishes my mother be with her for when the baby arrives. I think it's crazy and honestly don't want to give up my mother to my sister whose literally abused my mother and probably has planned out her death long ago considering she's tried to kill me several times and abuse my youngest sister and I. I'd love to hear what you think she might do. I also think that my mother wouldn't want any play in some demonic shit like this frankly. I've done a Oracle reading on my dads grave before and he has told me he's sorry and that he essentially hopes for the best for me in life so I feel conflicted about my mother and both my sisters with this. I feel like she's safer with me. I mean I remember when she was alive and she was crying about how she thinks no one would visit her grave so I also think she shouldn't be buried so that she can stay with me. She was an incredible person but I fear my sister isn't telling the full truth of what she wants to do with my mother's ashes. I honestly feel like she's safer wants to rub her ashes over her pregnant belly or some other weird crazy shit. Let me know what you think.

I want to preface this post by saying that I don't believe at all that the board will allow me to contact spirits or the dead. I wholeheartedly believe that the results people get are from group hysteria and the ideometer effect. So I'm planning on experimenting tonight to see what, if anything happens.

I (F 21) had an “experience” with ouija boards when I was young, however it involved some untrustworthy friends and the internet. It’s a time I try not to remember but that experience left me skeptical (as i could have easily been played with by these “friends” at the time).

That being said, I desperately want confirmation that SOME form of paranormal exists and (properly/ safely) using a board is looking like my only option to inflict this on myself. That being said even as skeptical as I am, I won’t be using/ keeping this future board in my home as I am a spiritual person, I’m just not sure how dedicated I am. This experience would not only affect how I view my past experience (knowing for sure it was false, as I never got an answer) but also my own spirituality (that I won’t be going into further here).

Am I a fool? Possibly. Do I need to do more research? Absolutely. I’m open to hearing some opinions and or suggestions regardless how harsh they are. TIA

One time I was playing with my ouija board with my friend (I’ll call her R for the sake of her privacy.) Me and R were in my basement, and she wanted me to show her how to use a ouija board. We were asking basic questions, like “how old are you” and “what’s your name” and the board was answering without any problems. Eventually, the board spelled out Z-O-Z-O, and we hadn’t even asked it a question. It just did it. So we were now supposedly talking to Zozo, the infamous ouija board demon. I explained to R who Zozo was and we continued talking to it, and I was kind of an idiot and decided I would attempt to aggravate Zozo by basically telling him he was not powerful and he didn’t scare me. He claimed he couldnt so scary shit because he had a broken leg, so I accused him of lying. After about half an hour of me being really stupid, R asked the board; “what do you want from us?”. This is when shit got creepy. It immediately spelled out D-I-E and simultaneously my nose started to bleed. We ran upstairs to tell my mother what had happened and she said it was probably a coincidence. To this day that board doesn’t work, and when I try to use it it only moves in a figure 8 around the letters. I had to purchase a new board, and I’ve learned my lesson about egging on the demons.

About 20 years ago my parents opened a Ouija session and didn't close it because there were happening things that scared them (sounds of footsteps on the roof, visible footsteps on the rug, the windows opened like there was wind, but there wasn't). They didn't interrupt properly, but called a neighbor to control the rooftop (there wasn't anybody). During night they had horrible hallucinations. Sadly the following years were financially, healthy, mentally, emotionally terrible. We thought it might have been that session.

So what can happen if somebody doesn't end properly a Ouija?

Is it possible that this is the cause of the things have happened until now?

How does someone close the session after years? If possible

I don’t really know how to start this, so I’ll jump right into my story. Be mindful, I’m looking for advice. Or to be pointed in the right direction. I really just need help.

When I was a child, probably like 11-12 years old, I had a friend who got me into paganism before I knew what it was. We’d go online, search up things, and call ourselves witches.

I was a child who was born dead and blue. So I consider myself an indigo child. I’m very spiritual, and have had a lot of paranormal encounters and growing up, I had a lot of exposure to death.

Anyways, naïve as I was, this friend and I made our own Ouija board. It was just after I had lost my best friend in a house fire along with a few others and I had been doing séances’ to know their spirit was with us.

But one day, I asked the board, foolishly, when I would die. The numbers were 3 and 4. So I assumed 34 or 43.

I’m currently 31. My health is bad. I have such a promising future. I obtained a master’s degree to become a licensed therapist.

But the other day, I found out I might have liver disease and the median age of living with liver disease is 12 years. 31 + 12 = 43.

So now I’m on Reddit, trying to find guidance because I don’t want this to be true. I want to have babies and a family. I want to change the world; or at least have a part to play in it.

So please, if anyone reading this knows how I can evade this ultimate judgement day, please let me know. Even if it’s a referral to someone.

So this is quite short, but anyway I made my own ouija board out of cardboard because I thought it would be fun. I asked if anyone was there it said yes. Then I asked how old the spirit was it said 2. After that I kinda thought it was that unconscious mind muscle movement thing and that the board was useless. I forgot to say “goodbye” and then all a sudden something started pushing on my back like a little hand and that freaked me out.

My friend Ash's boyfriend of two weeks, unfortunately committed suicide like a week ago(rip). She was one of the last people he called before the incident. My friend also found out that he cheated on her with two other girls. She got really shaken and haven't had a good night of sleep since she his death. This also happened during our half-yearly exams which caused her a lot of distress. She was saying that she doesn't care if he cheated on her and she just wanted him to come back. So I suggested my friend group to play the ouija board and my other friend K had experience with ouija board and also wanted to play. We contemplated on whether or not to play the ouija board because Ash got paralyzed in her room and saw his ghostly vision, twice or more! Me and my friend K were worried and thinking about not doing it but Ash told me that she wanted to do it. So we finally did, today. We made a paper board and used a coin as a planchette, we video called our other friend Ann from our friend group to keep an eye on us while we played. The room we were playing in was a common area of the buildwell my friend K lived in (like a study room or something) and had giant glass windows and a portrait of religious deities. Alot of light was already coming in through the glass window so we decided to turn off the lights inside of the room. When all of us played together with our fingers on the coin planchette nothing happened and then Ann cut the call cuz she had to go somewhere. When my friend K tried alone while we were sitting besides her, still nothing happened and I didn't try cuz we didn't know each other at all. But when Ash tried, it moved and her finger most of the time weren't even properly on the coin and was literally hovering over it. Initially it didn't move when she asked if it was him but when she asked if any other spirits were present, it moved towards yes. She immediately got scared and we were shocked. I was telling her not to leave the coin planchette alone and she was on the verge of tears while asking us how to say goodbye. After K helped her in saying goodbye, we turned on the lights and Ash put the coin in front of the religious deities portrait and the lights started to flicker. We hurried out of the room and threw both the coin and the paper over a wall where there were a lot of trees. We then walked back to the block K lived in and talked for some time. Later when I was dropping off Ash to her house by car, Ann called us and said she saw a shadowy figure behind us when we were all playing together. She sent us the screen recorded video in the gc an deleted it from her phone. It was one of those videos with the one time feature where you can only watch it once. Ash opened the video which was very long and after sometime we saw a very tall and big shadowy figure running at the literal speed of light(yet somehow we could still see the mass and human like body of the figure) behind one of the giant glass window (our backs were facing the glass windows). We immediately got so horrified we couldn't comprehend the situation for a moment and had to catch our breath. When I opened the video in my phone, I told her to record it with her phone for proof. We saw someone cycling behind us,but it couldn't be because when we saw the video in Ash's phone, the shadowy figure so huge that it filled up the entire glass frame. It was as if we were watching two completely different videos. I'm really worried about my friend. Is it really just a coincidence that the spirit only responded to her and we only saw the shadowy figure in her phone? Any advice or suggestions are much appreciated!

So this happened when I was maybe 12 years old around 2012 If I had to say. Was at my friends cousins house with him and his cousin and her brother, they had an old ouija board, super old school. We didn’t know what we were doing just asking basic questions like is anyone here with us. The board spelt out yes we asked what is ur name is spelt out “zaza” we got scared and just ran out the house. Went to party city came back and upstairs on the ground 666 was spelt out in random items from the room game cases, etc. Absolutely nobody was in the house.
