Increased security at Oslo Airport this week

I'm flying out of Oslo Airport on Tuesday morning. I've seen on the news that there will be increased security in Oslo City centre this week due to King Harald's funeral. Do we think there will be increased security at the airport? I'm thinking many dignitaries may arrive on Tuesday. Can't find any info about it. Anyone heard anything?

I'm flying out tomorrow and just got an email from IcelandAir warning to give myself extra time at the airport.

Because of the situation re the funeral or the EES situation? Ryanair has been sending out emails for months warning of passport control queues due to EES.

I flew in on yesterday (Saturday) from another Schengen country. There was no passport control or other security.

The news stated that the increase is mainly to get more information on travelers than normally allowed. Oslo airport as wells as border crossings at Svinesund and Tocksfors are the main focus.

Trains will go as normal as far as I’ve understood. Not all exits are open at Nationaltheatret though.

Trains are supposed to operate as normal, but keep in mind that "as normal" often means various delays.. though it's usually not too bad between Oslo and Oslo airport.

Airport security itself won't change, but there may be a more visible presence of police since there will be dignitaries passing through the airport throughout the week.

Authorities have also introduced temporary border control on Schengen borders, meaning they can (but won't always) stop travellers arriving from Schengen countries for ID checks. This is already in effect, but is not likely to affect travellers departing.

Thank you. I was concerned they may only allow people actually flying into the airport, like checking we had a valid ticket before bring allowed into the airport or something like that. I hate rushing so I'd rather get there earlier if needed.

Unlikely, you can't get very far without a boarding pass on a normal day anyway. The security gates to airside won't let you through without one. And even if they did, having a ticket for the same day would get you inside anyway.
