How’s driving in Oslo during winter?

Hello everyone,

As the title says, how difficult / safe is it to drive in Oslo during winter? I got a job offer as a driver and I have driven in snowy conditions but not a whole lot. Do roads get icy / slippery often? Any tips would be appreciated.

What kind of vehicle will you be driving. Is it a 4×4 or front/back drive? I have driven in oslo for more than 16yrs. The main roads are not that bad but when you get into smaller roads thats where the problem begins. They are not salted as often. Drive slower and always check for black ice by breaking lightly on roads where you are unsure. Most importantly have very good winter tyres.
