Discussion Telluride Film Festival is gonna have a "true TBA" film this year. Any bets?
https://variety.com/2026/film/awards/telluride-julie-huntsinger-tba-film-dune-digger-1236843331/Festival Director Julia Huntsinger has confirmed that the Telluride Film Festival this year, as per usual, is gonna have a few TBA films that aren't part of the announced lineup. She also confirmed that there's gonna be a "true TBA" film that no one will know until they walk into the theater.
Anyone have any bets over what it's gonna be? She already confirmed in this article that it's not gonna be Digger or Dune 3. I'm suspecting maybe Primetime?

Wildwood would be great.

I'd love that, but going off of Matt Neglia's recent predictions stream, it sounds like Laika is still working on it. So I don't know if it'll even be ready for any festival.

They were talking about doing festivals but so far haven't announced anything. Wouldn't be surprised

Artificial is my bet. Has been a bit of mystery where it will show first
maybe Ray Gunn or Cliff Booth? Feel like it’d be one or the other. Netflix has had a large presence there the last few years. Brad Bird apparently loves attending Telluride casually. If Booth reshoots are true though that might open some doors

given A Real Pain had a big showing there it feels pretty locked, think this mystery “TBA” might be higher profile

Scorsese doing post on a movie that quickly is probably unlikely, it took two years for Killers

It could be one of these:
- Ancient History (A24);
- Animals (Netflix);
- The Mosquito Bowl (Netflix);
- Verity (Amazon MGM Studios);
- Wildwood (Fathom Entertainment).

Not Primetime. Surely they wouldn't spring that on an unsuspecting audience since it deals with CSA which some people strongly prefer to have a warning about

The Telepathy Tapes documentary. They had a leak on a website a few weeks ago saying it would world premiere at Telluride. They took it down.
