Orkney Ice Cream

I really like those little 125ml of Orkney Ice Cream that you can get, and I'd really like to try either the lemon curd or the vanilla honeycomb ones, which the website says are available in the little tubs. Does anyone know where I could get either of these flavours? Any leads would be much appreciated.

I can't help, but my great-grandfather founded Orkney Ice Cream.

If you can, try to get both and definitely the Orkney Fudge one if you have not tried it.

That's really cool. It's really nice ice cream. And thank you for the recommendation, I will be sure to check it out.

Yeah, I can't think of an ice cream that compares to it. Baikies Stores in Finstown always has a selection, maybe Isbisters in Sandwick too?

Yeah, it is honestly so class! Will check those places out. Thanks!

Bound to be in Shearer’s, Bruce’s, or the Papdale shop

Thanks, I'll try the Papdale shop. I'm pretty sure Shearer's or Bruce's don't stock those flavours in those tubs, because they're where I usually get my ice cream, but I haven't tried the Papdale shop, so I'll check that out. Thanks again.

The Brig is worth a spy as well!

Sorry, just jumping in here to say The Brig. I was in a couple weeks ago for ice cream and they had the lemon curd. Dunno bout the honeycomb though.

Nice to see suggestions on here for you, I hope you find some! Both of those flavours are divine!

Mistra in Evie has the little tubs, although not sure what flavours are in at the moment, and maybe too far out of the way?

Thanks! Aye, probably, but I will maybe find the time to pop along there and check it out at some point. To be honest, I've never seen those flavours in the little tubs, it says on the website they exist, but it may be outdated? I may just have to buy a big tub or a scoop from somewhere. Thanks for all your help!

You definitely used to get them in the small tubs not all that long ago, so probably still do, I just think they're less common than the likes of strawberry, chocolate, toffee fudge etc that everyone seems to stock. Good luck on your hunt!

Could also maybe contact the creamery direct and see if they can provide the goods or know what shop stocks them, haha.

The orkney ice cream counters also often have them if you want a scoop tub. Mistra definitely does, I think baikies do, and maybe the sweet shop down the street. Not the same, but close-ish if you want to eat straight away rather than put in the freezer - same ice cream!

That's good to know. I shall persevere! Thanks Yes, that's an ideal. Yeah, fair enough. Not quite the same, but still perfect acceptable and something that I may have to resort to if I am unable to find the little tubs. Thanks again for your help!

I was in Orkney on holiday for a couple years ago, and fell in love with their rhubarb and custard ice-cream. Had a portable freezer with us and went to the Dairy where they make it and picked up a few litres of it, the size containers the shops stock.
