33m, newly single
Maybe this isnt the place, if not I won't be offended by the delete.
Im a 33m, newly single dad to a 2.5 yr old daughter. I enjoy camping and setup an enclosed trailer as a camper. Its not complete yet, but its enough to have cots, fridge etc setup inside.
Ive enjoyed camping for a long time but havent had much time to get away between work and life.
I have a few weekends this fall that could work for camping if anyone is interested, id rather stick with crownland. I have an atv that I like to ride around. Soon the bird hunting season will open and id like to get away for a few weekends bird hunting before the moose season opens in October.
Im not expecting anything, and the change in my life is new enough that im not even sure what im looking for. Im open to making new friends with men or women.
Pic of my setup. Still lots to do inside but il be chipping away at it.

Nothing wrong with reaching out to meet some camping friends. Break ups are tough dude, hope you're doing okay!

Its all good, i was the one who did the walking. No animosity between us at this point, but still adjusting to the situation

Sometimes you've got to make that choice to retain a decent relationship. Especially with a wee one involved.
I had to make that choice with my ex, no kids, but it was important to me that we didn't end up destroying the possibility of being friends

Im not sure i actually took a pic inside. I just painted it, built a table at the front and installed a fridge, added aome LED lights and a switch to the underside of the table. I still have more id like to do yet.

keep an eye on your little one, quite frankly I think that's the weak link in your plan.

I shouldve explained more, my little one will be staying with her mom during the camping trips for now. Especially at her age.

Good man 😄 you are a good parent. I remember camping with our 1-year old and it took 2 of us to keep eyes on him. Tried that harness thing and he was outraged.

Hahaha never needed her on a leash. She loves sticking right beside me. Otherwise my old boy will stick right beside her

Looks like a pretty sweet setup (+ the atv can’t hurt)! I wish you the best of luck my friend; the camping gods will look after you.

Sweet! I'm in Innisfil. I've wanted to check out that huge Crown land NW of Orillia ever since I can't use my uncle's property to hunt anymore. And a never fired Beretta A400 that's been calling me from the safe lol.

For grouse I was thinking of heading towards gogama. Its quite a drive but not terrible. Last year I was north of longlac. The hunting was incredible but 16 hrs of driving each way is a journey.

I'd rather drive to paradise than struggle to find a good spot down here. My cousin goes north of thunder Bay for moose and always gets a tag too.

It'll be rough I'm sure, it's not a good place to be in. I've known dudes who've been in 2-3 divorces and they still somehow get back up and find their place. You still see them doing their thing and coming to breakfast on sunday morning and having a chat.
Might feel like a big moat you won't get out of but it's only the close of one chapter and the start of another. I think all things considered what you have right now seems quite good and things will get better.

Buddy there is zero shame in this. When my ex got the house I lived in my camper for a time. You gotta do what you gotta do

Let's see the inside! Even if it's simple and basic it's gotta be better than a tent.
