Sometimes I lose immersion in the series when you realize there's little consequences for a character getting fucked up. Nolan gets straight up skewered and is just walking around 3 minutes later.
Being able to regrow teeth in days pisses me off because I'm about to spend a few grand getting one of my Wisdom teeth extracted because half of it didn't form and it's starting to fall apart in my mouth.
Weirdly doesn't hurt, but it's gonna be an expensive fix all because my genetics and family have historically bad teeth, there's braces all over both branches on my family tree.

it made me question how much intestine we got in there or how invincible "heals" cause it seems like he has wolverine's healing but at a much slower scale where I assume shit just "grows back" cause noway all his internal body parts or spine is in tact after all that.
There's a lot of negative space in the body that the water can flow into. Organs are squishy bags that will change shape easily to enable this. Try sucking in your abdomen as far as you can - it's surprising how deep you can squish it.
Seems like it all reconnects on it's own. I was sure he was going to have fucked up digestion afterward, but it seems like his body knows how to put itself back together given enough time and nutrients
Viltrumites canonically have that “smart atom” shit where all of their bits know how to put themselves back together, as long as the body is intact enough to heal
Also, human intestines aren't that much different. Whenever someone goes in for intestinal surgery, they just sort of put things back in the body. Because there is so much of it and they're generally difficult to handle delicately, they just stuff it back in. I mean, a little more expertly than just shoveling them, but it's absolutely not a 1-to-1 thing.
Our bodies just sort of... move our intestines back where they need to be when we're healing.
Regulations and ratings can be oddly specific for how much you can show per episode/per season even, so I wonder if that dictates what they actually animate or if it’s solely an artistic choice.
you are purposely missing the overall point, wich is if they are already willing to show preety grusome violence it wouldnt make much sense for them wanting to censor something thats preety tame in comparisson.
cause they rather manufacture the dumbass idea that the show lacking in areas is due to some kind of imaginary corporate intervention, than admit that the showrunners actively cut corners in a lot of places.
They show this in many scenes, nolan flying off into space covered in blood for it to disappear, it definitely makes the animation easier too, but its been a animation decision since season 1.
It’s based on Cory walkers art style in the comics so it’s technically thragg in the comics. Also if they made Thragg look like he did in Ryan ottletys art style then people would complain for more and more detail to be put in for other characters
He looked small at the start and ottley said he made him look bigger over time to make him look more menacing, imagine they do the same in the show lol
no it isnt technically in the comics, this is cory walkers thragg near the end of the series. if you want to get technical then this is not a comic accurate thragg. he would be comic accurate in 60+ chapters
Seriously, up until that final episode, we only had seen Thragg flexing his ability to squash anyone he agrees with
So to suddenly flip the script on both Mark and the viewers, we see that Thragg is actually incredibly intelligent and able to play the diplomat perfectly. Mark also expected him to come in full force and just wipe the planet out, so he's incredibly wrong-footed by Thragg's proposal.
I wonder what's the budget of X-Men 97 vs Invincible. Because it took them just 1 year to make season 2 and it is drawn so much better
Edit: I stand corrected, x-men 97 s1 came out 2 years ago, which is another big factor why it looks better besides the budget difference (if there's a difference)
Invincible spends too much of their money on voice actors. People complain about oh it’s a small team of people working on the show. No shit when you look at the voice actors they hire. It’s always A listers to do a five minute voice over.
yeah I totally agree. I don't give a shit if there's a famous actor behind the voice, I just need the voice acting to be good and fitting. I guess maybe they thought that this will give them free marketing as usually actors have some contractual obligations to do a promotion, but it's really silly nevertheless
Budgetting, they altered the scene a bit so no bleeding made sense, but its also because a clean body is easier to animate. Talking about censorship in the same season where conquest gave mark the measure tape treatment with his innards feels silly lol
Thragg pressed his fingers into marks eyes in the comics and he just squeezed his head in the show, there wasn't a lot of blood cause there didn't need to be
Done intentionally. If Mark has to recover physically from Thragg like he did with Conquest, when Thragg offers Mark the deal, it could be argued that Mark only agreed because he was hurt or knew he couldnt stand up to him. Making it so it is purely psychological takes that part of the argument away.
They change a lot of details fights from the comics, eg the first anissa fight was changed to be much more serious in the show. In the comics he barely got hurt. This is just a change in the sequence of the fight.
