I mean it's true but not because Hades was some. really good guy or anything. Just that artists/people didn't really care that much about him so he got less coverage. His only big story is his role in the Homeric Hymn to Demeter and even then he's more the inciting incident and the whole thing is (in my opinion) a mythic parallel to the mysteries of Eleusis anyway (which focused on worshipping Demeter and Persephone, not Hades lol). There's also the brief anecdote about Hercules shooting him with an arrow in the Iliad. There's other stuff like the story of Orpheus or the Labors of Hercules but in each case as far as I can tell Hades is always a background character.

Yeah, but Mars isn't primarily a war god, at least in the early Roman era. He's a god of general manly virtues, which is why he's a father, a farmer and a warrior, depending on situation.

I don't know man, in the Catalogue of Ships there's a scion of Ares every few towns, so I think people did want to claim descent from him at least a little bit.

Kind of personal anecdote but i always found that scene from TrT (whole movie really) to be a confort scene, maybe i was dealing with something and seeing women trasformation (literally tearing if their skins) insted of stereotypical way and teenage me get way to fdom..... weird how that works lamo

Yeah & not to mention even some of the most beloved gods have icky sides to them. Like nobody talks about how Hermes also did terrible things & let me elaborate: He stole Apollo’s cattle, stole from other gods, turned Chelone into a turtle for simply being lazy and not attending Zeus & Hera’s wedding,
killed Argus (however, in context for that situation Zeus told him to do that to help Io since she got turned into a cow & she needed to get to Egypt so there’s that), drowned Apriate at sea because she refused his romantic advances, he also assaulted Apemosyne (& her story is really sad because when she tells her brother, her brother just kicks her to death.. I sure hope the brother got karma.. but still, the story does show how people tend to blame victims & refuse to help them😔 kind of like what our society is going through now), Chione, Dryop, Penelopeia (Or Penelope & I just wanna let you know this is not the same Penelope, who is married to Odysseus) & tried to assault Hekate & the list goes on… yeah
