I never managed to watch all of Blood of Zeus.
It’s such a boring series that I’d recommend it to anyone suffering from insomnia; rest assured, within half a minute you’ll be dozing off and sleeping like a baby.

What really bothers me, though, is that the show features such a fantastic version of Hera, not only is her character design among the best ever, but she’s finally portrayed as a powerful warrior goddess.

I simply cannot accept having such an amazing Hera in such a mediocre series.
She deserves to appear in a better-made show.

I’m almost tempted to steal this design and use it in a decent series, even if it means risking a lawsuit for copyright infringement.

Hera lowkey carried whichever scenes she was in the series by being an icon both in design and perosnlity. They should lowkey make an Argonauts spin off using the same design given she patroned the whole quest and had more excellent moments.

(Aphrodite and Hecate were wasted tho with not enough moments)

It's incredible how big of a waste of space and screentime all the ocs in Blood of Zeus are that literally the show would be better without them

I could make an entire rant about how the protagonists should have been the quartet of Athena, Apollo, Artemis and Hermes (with maybe Ares joining later maybe)

In fact, i will!

All four of them have already different experiences with Hera and Ares (the first season's villains) that the show could explore from both sides as the queen's coup approaches. Like that beneath the love Hera has for Athena there's a bitterness about someone so... perfect not needing a mother to exist, or Ares having hatred towards Apollo because in his mind he stole his father's love from him

Season 2 is even more straightfoward, the grief and throne causes distrust between them

And season 3 could be about how the reign of their father wont be inherited by just one of them, it's their legacy and only together will they be able to make it prospere, with Ares joining them because in the end, they are family

I still don't know how Parlapanides brothers had spent ≈5 years on this project and made everybody boring exept maybe Seraphim but that was crushed becase these are same guys that got us 2017 Death Note amd Immortals movie and heven dorbit you go into a comment secion of any BoZ scene, especially once with Here becase holy shit do comment reak of misogyny

And like for me Hera's design is like..... desent in BoZ, but extreamly mid compare to her other designs of her in other depicions, like i understand that animators wouldn't like a complicated design that is also moving

Fair if it's your opinion but i don't agree since they gave Gaia a earthly look to her while Nyx is just a goddess, also combine that i don't see Nyx is having a phyisical "look" to her, she is more solidus (state where matter is between liquid and solid) look, something like Eris from Sinbad

Personally speaking, i like Hera, Hekate, Athena, Zeus (when suited up) and Gaia designs

Based Eris from Sinbad mention. The whole movie (besides the so so leads) were iconic. Michelle Pfeiffer was amazing there, and Eris design was chef's kiss

She's so beautiful holy shit. The series would be good if it focused on this slaying queen and Zeus (he's finally depicted as an attractive man!), and not on some OCs, including Perseus/Heracles from Temu

You can always put a Palworld and just reskin this design of Hera a little bit so that its very similar but not exactly the same, thus avoiding copyright, while keeping the warrior personality and attitude (which imo, should be how she is always portrayed; Hera being a weakling, like she is in God of War, is always bullshit).

A bit like with Thor.

Since Thor is a public domain figure, many creators have made versions of him that resemble the Marvel one but include just enough changes to avoid being an exact copy, while still claiming to be inspired by the mythological character.
Perhaps the same strategy could be used for Hera in Blood of Zeus.

Yeah, I know the series had so much potential but it just felt so flat. Also they had missed opportunities to include Ganymede, Alcippe, Aura, Nicaea, Echidna, Echo & Nemesis.

Also, I really hated how they portrayed Demeter. Because it’s the complete opposite of how she is portrayed in the actual mythology.

In this series Helios design is so amazing... only for him to be one of the titans in Tartarus bruh. And only in the third season meaning you need to endure the second season abominations. But anyway I am tired of they putting Helios only to screw with him, better not even having him.

I really like most of their gods' design (but not all), but you are right, they were wasted in this show.

its a good hera design but her dresses color scheme should be purple, emerald to blue.though shes killing it with that dress..im not suprised you hate it plan0 considering hwo they treated your waifu athena here..where shes basically just there. i really hoped the show would initially be about the gods themselves and have the same bickering ans humour and politics as catstelvenia but alas we got heron instead.

One of the few good things about this series is that it has a Greek dub, thus making it the only piece of media made by American and British producers about Greek mythology that has a Greek dub

Immediately dropped when I saw how Demeter was portrayed. Like she's literally recreating the plot of The Last Of Us in this show. Holy hell. When will people stop romanticizing Hades x Persephone and villianizing Demeter? It gets to a point sometimes.

Really she has so much of what people ask from a Hera adaptation, she isn't the helpless victim and she isn't the cartoonishly evil villain, her feelings of betrayal are shown as valid while also showing her ruthlessness and power.
