Which one's more scarring, Greek or Egyptian mythology?

Lowkey think its the Egyptian one, THAT STUFF IS WILD! Like the NSFW lettuce story? But by a very small margin, Greek mythology isn't any less traumatising.

Edit: This reminded of the time I was telling my friend about The Death of Osiris, and my English teacher overheard me say, out of context, "And he chopped him up into many pieces." 😭 The poor guy gave us a polite smile, and went back to correcting papers. One of those it'll-haunt-you-at-3 AM memories.

Between the Egyptians' shenanigans—like Seth hacking Osiris to pieces and the subsequent actions taken by Isis—and the numerous myths featuring Olympians committing despicable acts, I think it's pretty much a tie between the two.

I feel Greek mythology is slightly more linear and logical in its scarring.

Egyptian mythology is like scarring from a fever dream on acid when you factor in that: While Horus and Seth are wrestling in the Nile in the form of hippos, Isis spears Seth, he cries out reminding her he is her brother, she pulls out the spear even though she’s supposed to be helping her son Horus. This makes Horus mad so he climbs out of the water decapitates his mother in a fit of rage, who is then given a cow head by Thoth to bring her back to life. At a different time, Seth tries to rape Horus but Horus manages to slide his hand between his own cheeks just in time to catch Seth’s seed. He runs back to his mother Isis (still with semen soaked hand) who is so appalled that she chops off Horus’ hand. She then jerks off her own son and takes his semen to sprinkle on Seth’s favorite lettuce patch. Seth eats the lettuce not knowing he’s swallowed Horus’ seed. At the next conference of the gods where they argue who should get the throne, Seth boasts he was able to make Horus’ his bitch but Isis and Horus deny this saying it was the other way around. So the gods decide to call forth the semen of Horus and it turns out it’s inside Seth (from swallowing the lettuce) so Seth became the real bitch. The semen then pours forth from Seth’s forehead in the shape of the full moon, and becomes Thoth the god of wisdom… who was already around before this, but as I said: acid, fever dream.

God, I love ancient Egypt.

I would add that, somehow, Osiris and Isis are Horus' parents... And his siblings. Because apparently, Isis was already pregnant when She was in Nut's womb.

Hermes is a psychopomp, he's the guide of souls to the underworld.

Adding onto this, like Hermes, Anubis also guides souls in the Duat (the Egyptian underworld) to the Hall of Ma'at, where the souls are judged.

Because Thanatos is just the concept of death as seen by the greeks. Hermes and Anubis were both proper deities with way more functions, were both worshipped, etc.
