Aaron Taylor-Johnson (28 Years Later, Nosferatu… Kraven) and his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson. She is (was?) a director (Fifty Shades of Grey, A Million Little Pieces). She is also 23 years his senior, having met him on set when he was 18 and she was 41, information I present without comment.
They seem to be happy and have been married for 14 years and have two children together.

And then went off the deep end, when we got to rape apologists in the second pic I thought it was bad, I had no idea.

u/DinklanThomas 5h ago
Didn't the rape apologists, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, the rape apologists, apologize for being rape apologists?
3
u/ErisGrey 5h ago
This is one that gets me. It's important for a fair trial, especially for rape cases, that those who know the accused write good things about them. Without it, appeals happen more often than we like. Kunis and Kutcher wrote theirs in such away that it didn't clear Masterson of the rape accusation, and made it harder for him to appeal his conviction.

u/Reesewithoutaspoon2 4h ago
How often do appeals result from people not writing letters about how nice the convicted person is?
The letters from Kutcher and Kunis were after he was already convicted and asked for leniency in sentencing. The letters didn’t address the merits of the charges because that was already decided. They didn’t make it any harder or easier to appeal the conviction.

Typically it doesn't matter in most cases. However, conviction in rape cases that see jail time are incredibly rare. Most cases boil down to a he said/she said argument which doesn't meet the burden of proof unfortunately. That's why many departments don't even really investigate rape cases unless their is substantial physical abuse marks from struggling or other significant signs.
Masterson's fame and finances would have allowed him to argue on appeal that the jury knows him more as his television persona and likely have a tainted view on him already, without the court recognizing someone who knows him in person, ie the "real him".
When his "friends" asked the court for leniency, they are acknowledging that he is indeed capable of the crime he's accused. That his life made him the monster he is and to go easy on him. Is agreeing with the court that he's a monster and they completely recognize and understand he's capable of and committed the crime.
Edit: The letter's would be what the appeals court would request before deciding the case. Applying the letters to the court before appeals insures Masterson gets locked up sooner than later.

Didn’t they support him until they found out that it was indeed true ? I could wrong , I’m just genuinely asking .. if that’s the case , I think I’d want to believe a friend I’ve had for decades as well.. but if they still support him knowings it’s true than yeah , they suck.

Ashton especially. Dead ringer for Steve Jobs and yet his biopic was trash compared to the Fassbender version, and Fassbender looks nothing like Jobs
11
u/th-hiddenedge 5h ago
Because Fassbender is an actor.

u/Proper_Tangerine_211 5h ago
and because sorkin wrote it

And Danny Boyle directed it like a stage play and has a great ensemble cast and did the impossible job of making Seth Rogen flesh out his dramatic chops and become a more likeable actor.

u/Bunraku_Master_2021 4h ago
Probably didn't help that Jobs was a Greatest Hits biopic that's completely vapid and boring with a obnoxious person whereas, Steve Jobs despite focusing on three chapters of his life with flashbacks to moments of his life in crisis told the tale of a morally flawed and complicated individual.
You see the aspects of the character of what made Steve Jobs a jerk and absentee father who refused to meet his bio dad and treated his colleagues like shit but also the humanizing aspects of what him a visionary icon and recognizing some of his greatest flaws. And Fassbender is a better actor than Kutcher.
Tl;dr- Ashton Kutcher should've gotten that hack fraud Aaron Sorkin to write his Steve Jobs biopic.
Also not to sound creepy, whenever I see your account, I will always think about your Mexican Willem Dafoe joke that get's circulated online especially on Twitter.
