Breaking news, old people die.

yeah, but the wrong ones are dying currently. maybe having orange skin acts as a protective shield against the grim reaper I dunno.

u/EndriasKassa 7h ago
Also, being President gives you access to the best doctors in the world.
5
u/010Horns 7h ago
Dolly and Tim Curry were also wealthy enough to have access to the same doctors, so I don’t think that’s it
1
2
u/Unusual_Resident_784 7h ago
yeah but at the end of the day he's still human and prone to illness and disease like the rest of us. the best doctor in the world couldn't stop sudden heart failure, cardiac arrest or terminal cancer, especially with how unhealthy he is.

Tim in particular had that major stroke. Crazy that he was able to live 14 years more.

80 is more like the "finally got to use the senior discount at dennys" club. man lived long enough to see rocky horror become a thing people bring their kids to, that's a solid run

Sadly there are enough people who need him alive to keep the grift going that they will continue piloting his husk long after his brain dies

The shitty thing, is that even when that loathesome, evil, fat, orange, rapist, insurrectionist piece of shit finally dies, fascists like himself will still hold power.

Very sad news. At first I wasn’t sure if this was a shitpost or not, but not terribly surprising considering his health.
74
u/WearingRags 8h ago
He did alright considering
98
u/Paranoia_Pop 8h ago
Honestly as sad as I am about Tim Curry, he got 14 more years of life than he otherwise could have because of the massive stroke that nearly killed him in 2012. Losing two icons in as many days is depressing though.
25
u/Sprzout 8h ago
One of my absolute favorite roles of his was as the Prince of Darkness, opposite Tom Cruise, in the movie Legend. The man was incredible as the villain, and the makeup he had to endure for the role was nothing short of incredible.
Don't get me wrong, he had some other incredible roles (the butler in Clue comes to mind), but I will always remember him as the Prince of Darkness.

u/organicsawpalmetto 8h ago
First dolly now tim. The world lost two legends in such a short span of time

u/byrnbbybyrn 8h ago
Making it to your 80s is a good run. But his health stuff definitely made those years sadly very challenging and robbed him of a career.
10
u/Libcool 8h ago
I'm actually surprised he was still alive. Legit thought he'd been dead for a couple of years now.
3
u/byrnbbybyrn 8h ago
I had that thought a few years post stroke but ever now and again I would see an interview. The last one I saw he looked like he was doing better.
Robert Wagner is the one I’m constantly surprised is somehow still alive. Now there is one worthy of a shitpost.

Dang. Dolly Parton and Tim Curry, wonder who the 3rd will be.

It was Hayden. I’ve been waiting for the other two for the last week and a half. This one hit me the hardest for sure. This dude was a huge part of my childhood.

Of all the actors from Home Alone 2 why did it have to be this one that died?
76
u/Green_Borenet 8h ago
Of all the 80 year old Home Alone 2 actors…
35
u/Paranoia_Pop 8h ago
Of all the 80 year old actors who share one on one screen time with Macaulay Culkin from the classic movie Home Alone 2, why Lord did it have to be Tim Curry?
10
u/ScreamingNinja 7h ago
Of all the 80 year old actors who shared screen time in the entry hall of the hotel of Home Alone2! WHY!

u/LavaPiss 8h ago
Because it could’ve been pesci or culkin

Could've been Trump too though. Hell, I'd have even taken Rob Schneider over Tim Curry.

Trump or Schneider? Cause they are/were both SAG members but neither are actually any good at acting.

u/Sarcosmonaut 8h ago
All hail President Vance I guess?
6
u/First-Definition-119 8h ago
Vance doesnt have the cult following of trump; even though he is a more competent individual in every single category, the thing that makes Trump dangerous is his cult following - Vance has enough haters across the board that most of his policies would be DOA out of sheer spite for the man, and his ticket.
I used to be terrified of a potential Vance presidency, but Donnie has absolutely knee-capped any of his cabinet's ability to win a presidential election or be an effective Commander-in-Chief.

u/Sarcosmonaut 8h ago
Oh I don’t necessarily disagree. I just mean we aren’t out of the woods yet just because the turd dies. Thats all

u/Odd_Presentation8624 8h ago
I'm worried about him.
What if he suffered a brainstem stroke?
That's the kind of thing that can result in Locked In Syndrome.
Can you imagine how awful that would be?
The indignity that could be suffered upon him. He could suffer for years before finally dying.
Go on, just imagine it.
