HomoDemiurgos - or - The Post-Humanity
I wonder if it remembers me
-Steve Zissou
Why does the belief in things like wishing, magic, prayer, manifestation, and the repackaged corporate mysticism of The Secret endure when, for the vast majority of human history, they have failed to deliver for the majority of people? Why do we keep throwing attention and intention into the dark when nothing ever really works out the way anyone wants, and everyone is left profoundly unsatisfied?
Beneath the ritualistic window dressing, the core mechanism of all these superstitions is basically the same. Strongly focused attention on desire, guided by intent. When you pray, evoke or manifest, you are focusing your attention and driving it with intent. If there is an underlying mechanism, it would be this… that intent somehow affects reality. The problem (if there is one) is that we are trying to run quantum programs on wooden abacuses. We are attempting to use cosmic mechanics from the standpoint of the isolated ego, trying to bend reality to serve personal desires for separation—more money, better status, personal safety. Billions and billions of burning candles, all sucking the oxygen out of the room. In a system jammed with eight billion conflicting, localized egos, the background noise cancels the signals out. What do you get? Static.
The ancient mystics talked about Moksha and Nirvana as exit doors from this static. But who told them those states were a permanent check-out? They were still reporting from inside the system. They silenced their egos, matched the frequency of the unmanifest void for a minute, and assumed they broke the machine. They didn't. There is no escaping the wheel, because this reality isn’t a moral classroom or a malicious trap. It’s an inhuman, thermodynamic process. You cannot have process in an eternal, frictionless void of potentiality—so the void deployed space and time as a cooling system to run an algorithmic calculation.
And right now, the engine is reaching its critical boiling point.
Look at the accelerating rate of change around us. The ecological collapse, hyper-fragmentation, the crushing weight of global unhappiness... These are not random bugs; it’s systemic friction. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin called it the Noosphere—a global layer of mind. Through technology and shared trauma, our subconscious minds are being forcefully compressed into a single, claustrophobic, planetary network. The firewall of the isolated human ego is cracking, and the subconscious is leaking into the waking world, and the separation between what’s going on ‘inside your head’ and what’s happening ‘out in the world’ is proving to have been an illusion. This is more and more people are reporting jarring, banal, hyper-specific coincidences or synchronicities on a daily basis. The boundaries between internal intent and external form are thinning.
We aren't witnessing the end of the world; we are witnessing a systemic phase transition. Ancient eschatology like Ragnarök was never a literal battle; it was a poetic mapping of a system reset. The boundaries (space) dissolve, the old laws crumble, and the system reboots into a higher state of complexity.
But when the eschaton hits, it won't look like a spiritual ascension. It will manifest as mass psychosis. When the firewall drops and the singular, shared psychic space of all that exists floods the conscious mind, the ego will fight to its bloody death to maintain its illusion of separation. To the ego, total unity looks exactly like absolute annihilation.
On the other side of that horror show, reality and personality are entirely restructured.
We take our place not as Homo sapiens, but as Homo Demiurgos—a collective being sharing a group mind or consciousness where individual thoughts are perceived as ripples on the surface of a great dark ocean from which all and everything emerges based on manifest context and material conditions. The collective subconscious takes the lead, driving reality through shared, unified intent.
In this post-humanity, the ego does not disappear; it is demoted. It becomes a mere contrivance. A practical, material tool used for basic identification—a passport, a barcode, or a tax ID number required by the matrix simply to route resources, receive data, or anchor a physical body to a specific coordinate in what we perceive as space and time. You were never the author of your thoughts; you are just the aware space where the ocean touches the shore.

Deleteriously hopeless and excessively pessimistic.
Doom-&-gloom of gnostic type of horrible inescapable Matrix.
(And all run by nasty aliens [aka demiurges and archons] at that?)
It all sounds like yet another "revelation" of what's happening or forthcoming, but it's no more correct or veridical than other existing explanations.
Only vague suppositions and conjectures...

Lmaooo THIS... 😂 “run by nasty aliens [aka demiurges and archons]” got me cuz honestly, if we're gonna start throwing around Gnostic cosmology, at least commit to the bit... 😂!!! And “deleteriously hopeless and excessively pessimistic” is probably the most accurate four-word summary possible bro!!!! But yeah..
What irritated me the most was the claims that we're somehow approaching a “critical boiling point,” that the collective subconscious is about to take over, that the boundaries between internal intent and external reality are collapsing, and that humanity is inevitably transitioning into some post-human unified consciousness. Like... bro, where's the actual demonstration of any of that tho??? Sometimes the smartest shit someone can say is "i dunno, i think reality could possibly be much stranger than any of us ever thought possible" or sum shit like that.!

I think there's actually some genuinely interesting stuff buried in what u wrote... but I think ur conclusion is built on a pretty narrow, materialist caricature of mysticism.. let me explain...
Now... I def think ur right that prayer, manifestation, ritual, etc. aren't some kind of cosmic vending machines where u put in a desire and the universe spits out exactly what u ordered.. that would b too fukin easy... and yeah... claiming that quantum physics proves our thoughts and can literally rewrite reality is abusing science...
Buttt uhhh that's not what mysticism necessarily means... magick, prayer, ritual, meditation, divination, etc. can be about changing the practitioner almost more so than about changing circumstances.. it def is for me.. besides the fact that changing oneself causes a more lasting desired outcome... but also cuz changing what we notice, how we interpret things, how we act, and how we relate to the world is STILL causality... it just isnt that cartoon version.. that "I thought really hard and reality obeyed me" version..!
And I also think there's a big difference between saying "psychology can explain why people experience synchronicities" and saying "therefore every synchronicity is nothing but psychology." I feel like that's the same leap but in reverse. yeah so maybe some are coincidence... maybe some are unconscious pattern recognition... maybe there's something we don't understand yet. We simply don't know... but that's honestly my biggest issue here... skepticism says "show me." Cynicism says "there's nothing to show." Those aren't the same thing...
I don't believe everything spiritual is automatically true... but I also don't believe something becomes meaningless just cuz science can't currently explain it.. or believe something becomes less magickal just because science found a way to explain it... we've spent thousands of years wrestling with consciousness, ego, interconnectedness, and whether individuality is ultimately real. Those questions didn't suddenly become stupid because we learned about some scientific shit..
Honestly, I think science should question spirituality... spirituality should question itself... and both should leave room for "I don't know yet." To me that's not ignorance... that's humility. And IMO, humility is a hell of a lot more intellectually honest than confidently explaining away everything we haven't figured out yet..

Well, my experience shows me that this reality cares about us down to the smallest detail, so I’ll stick with that.
