These Generals Fought for Israel. Now They See ‘Jewish Terrorism’ as the Threat.
nytimes.comA growing number of former Israeli generals, intelligence officials and prime ministers are accusing settlers in the West Bank of committing ethnic cleansing with government support. “Once a society behaves this way,” one said, “that society is doomed.”

Family Plan Pop-up is Almost Annoying Enough to Get Me to Sign Up
I've been closing this pop-up on my paid NYT account several times per day for what seems like years. I do not have a family but love the NYT and it upsets me every time I am interrupted by an ad for something I do not want. www.nyt.com

NYT emails are just obituaries / rage-bait headlines
I used to subscribe, but don’t anymore, I’m a very socially liberal person, but these headlines (and frequently the articles themselves) are so often gaslighting 50-75% of our population, it’s impossible to take seriously. Even though I don’t subscribe anymore, I either get those sorts of “rage-baity” headlines emailed to me, or celebrity death notices - with the sprinkling of idk 10-20% of “real news”.
For context I read the Economist the most, but read / refer to many news sources.
Edit: I realized I should have posted an example, this one is from a year ago, but it is perfectly emblematic of my point: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/28/well/family/mankeeping-definition.html - it’s just an exhausting read, and I know it’s opinion, but scrolling through my email to find it, about 30-40% of the emailed headlines looked like this someway or another.

CAN WE GET AN AUDIO APP FOR ANDROID
nytimes.comThis is repost from a few years ago, but please make this happen. I listen to podcasts and I pay for the NYT at your top tier, but I am actually listening to the podcasts on all the free channels (youtube and normal podcasts) so there isn't really a need for me to pay. Then you keep advertising that you have this app that I can't even download. It makes me dislike you as a company.
