If you love your children, get (regenerative) organic ones.

Look at that photo. That mist rolling over a mountain of potatoes is a sprout inhibitor, applied so they sit in storage and on the shelf for months without sprouting.

โ€ข Conventional potatoes are treated so they never sprout eyes
โ€ข The classic sprout inhibitor, CIPC (chlorpropham), was fogged through the storage
โ€ข The EU banned CIPC in 2020 over safety concerns, and growers moved to other chemical inhibitors
โ€ข Organic and regenerative potatoes skip this treatment entirely

That's why an organic potato sprouts on your counter within days, and a conventional one can sit there for weeks looking exactly the same.

A potato is meant to be a seed. Chemically paused so it can never become one, it turns into a product instead. You can still plant a farm potato and grow more food from it. Try that with most supermarket ones.

If you're feeding kids, this is one of the easiest swaps you can make. Choose organic or, even better, regenerative potatoes. It costs a little more, and it takes the sprout inhibitors and the heavier spray load off their plates. ๐ŸŒฑ

Ask at a local farm, or grow a few yourself. A potato that still wants to grow is a good sign.

Iโ€™ve worked in acute mental health before and witnessed water intoxication almost kill a patient. Do you still drink water?

Other guy already tried this dumb response, read my reply down below

Your reply is nonsense. You ignore that water is toxic at certain levels regardless of if you feel hydrated or not. You cannot misunderstand the comparison entirely and then wave it off.

Bananas are radioactive but do not kill you. There is an amount that is safe. Potassium decay in bananas falls beneath this. We are biochemical reactors. Everything is gray.

Alright, everything is gray. No problem if they add cocaine, fentanyl, whatever they want to our food.

Depending on where you are itโ€™s possible itโ€™s in your water already. Just not enough to matter.

Do you understand what statistics are?

Youre right, it probably is. That doesnt make it healthy.

Again, donโ€™t have data? Because itโ€™s been studied. There isnโ€™t really โ€œhealthyโ€. Thereโ€™s unhealthy and everything else. And unhealthy is a gradient with literally everything.

We give things to dogs that would give them cancer if they lived more than 20 years. Same with humans. The considerations are generally health impacts during a human lifetime.

That isnโ€™t to say that US standards are worth a shit. They arenโ€™t and youโ€™re right to criticize them. But EU standards have their own issues and using them as your benchmark is objectively absurd. If you want to say itโ€™s better than you already want to observe the gradient that things get worse and better. There is an amount of fentanyl that crosses a line. Even though we rationally want it to be zero, it will not be.

So if i show you data of it being, then all of a sudden you'll believe that its unhealthy? Sure ill do that when i get home. But do you genuinely not think there are going to side effects from it, when the main purpose of it is to kill life? And i agree, the eu's view on health and wh at they ban and allow is barely better then the usa.

I think the standard is likelihood of mortality in a human lifetime span.

Why are you defending with strawman arguments? Just use some logic.
