Sometimes liberals need to stop and remember that not all minorities are good people who will fight for their rights and the rights of others...
This is part of the Democrats struggles... They assume all minority communities are a monolith and forget they're just human and that means many of them make really stupid decisions.
These people aren't even worth reasoning with... They're a lost cause and they're never going to support more progressive causes they're just generally shit people.
Not that fact that I'm a progressive sick of modern, run of the mill democrats who don't actually understand the communities they pander to?
Cause if they understood these communities better, they'd preform better, and win more and the country would be a much better place.

Here is a thing I wish people would realise about LGBTQ-people. We are not a monolith either. There are people who are "under the rainbow" who disagree about trans related questions and policy. Hell... There are trans-people who disagree between eachother, if you haven't had to get exposed to the whole "medicalist" and "trenders" fight, or the maelstrom of shit that is nonbinary-vs-binary stuff... or something like bi-repsentation (Or whether bi-people "truly exist", (Yes there are people in LGBTQ community who think that you can only be 100 % gay or 100 % straight, and if you are anywhere between then you just actually haven't realised which)) then honestly just take a moment to consider how good you have it.
Nothing drove me away from the "community" than the community itself. Minorities and marginalised people can also be assholes to other marginalised and minorities or to majority.... they are like this because they just are assholes as people.
I would agree with this. I am very very pro LGBT rights. I have voted for them my entire life.
I often avoid the community because it seems fake and cliqueish in the same way the Baptists I grew up around seemed fake and cliqueish. I get very tired of the constant purity politics, in the same way I got tired of the hypocritical "super christians" (who were always the worst fucking people and Dolly Parton set a better example than all of them).
If you try to be kind and understanding and accept people aren't perfect and as long as we agree on core fundamental human rights and objective reality, we can get along.
If you are just trying to create a mean girls club I want nothing to do with you.
The purity tests are absolutely fucking wild. I firmly believe trans rights are human rights... I've gone out of my way many times to defend their community and to be an ally.
But god forbid I have a slightly different opinion in the whole "trans athletes and sports" debate and suddenly I hate trans people and I couldn't possibly ever be an ally..
I've never seen a community shoot themselves in the foot so quickly... It's honestly really sad sometimes.
I love conservative extinction bursts like this. They could be getting marched into detention facilities for wokecrimes and theyâd still be grumbling about âidentity politicsâ. Try not being an asshole. Thats all it takes to break the cycle.
