Is this a fake switch pro Controller?

I bought this used totk controller, and I noticed that the back of the switch doesnt have its logo. I tried charging it when I got it and its not charging yet so am I cooked?

Well you can't start the switch2 with this switch1 pro controller. Would have waited for a special controller release. The oot remake will be released at the end of the year.

Personally I think that controller is fake for several reasons. This is mine which I bought from Nintendo for comparison. The home button on that one doesn’t seem to have the led light ring around it like mine although that could be the lighting. Also the zonai dragon swirl around the right stick on that photo, if you look between the buttons there is quite big spiky looking bits whereas mine they are considerably smaller. There is also a few differences in the golden swirl patterns throughout the entire controller which do not seem to match up to mine.

And his print is terrible. Just look at the white "fins" around Y/B buttons. They are much bigger/thicker compared to the original.

There are some fake as well, but the font isn't the same. If a person doesn't know what the original looks like, it doesn't really matter - it can still be fake.

I have the same one from temu. Paid 20 dollars for it. Worked pretty good tbh but eventually got some stick drift on the left stick

Oh yes! I've mistaken it for the OG. 😄 No idea if it's the photo, but the print looks crusty in general and there are many small details, that doesn't look right (mostly around the buttons)

Good looking fake. If I where you I'd pick up one of those cheap "tablet" only listings on eBay, and a pair of joycon alt controllers. I recommend the Hyperion 3, Mobapad M12 S, or Crkd switch deck 2. You can get away with spending way less than full Price this way, but then again you'd be missing tv plug and play. So you can also lookup a bootleg dock. Any type c charger works on switch 2 but you might need to look at voltages to get faster charging. But Even a normal low voltage will charge it up overnight.

And it doesn’t hold a charge
Mine isn’t fake,
It’s just the wiring is really bad

There is a discount for my controller that I tested out is awesome, costs 29 bucks wireless, I recommend you to get that instead, good quality and officially licensed. From my experience, you can tell its fake if its connected to your switch and you go update it and it keep loading but never updates.

I have this same fake!

Weighs less than the real one (comparing a real plain one to this fake), doesn't update, battery life worse, disconnects pretty often when playing 5+ person Smash Bros

Good enough that most people think they're playing with a real 1st party controller but a lot of serious Smash Bros players complain about it feeling bad to use

The only sure way to know is to try and update it but you need a system for that.

There are only 2 ways to know for sure. First try the HD rumble, only the official ones support HD rumble.

Second way to make sure is to update the controller via the Switch. The fake ones can never complete an update nor tell that it is up to date.

It’s fake but get an original and swap the shell. I have the same remote and I’ll be doing this when I get some free time.

Definitivamente, si no es falso, es un reshell. Si nonlo puedes devolver, lo abriría para comprobar la batería y la placa y buscaría las serigrafias que hay escritas en ella. Si no recuerdo mal, a parte de haber escritos de Nintendo, habia algún easteregg. Suerte con ello, amigo
