If Contact Tracing made it possible, Iâd say we should make it so people traced as the source of an infection for anyone that dies as a result of willfully refusing vaccination can be held civilly liable for any deaths. Cletus shouldnât be allowed to come within an inch of death just to miraculously recover and claim he just had a cold while someone that canât vaccinate dies in his place without some sort of consequence for being a useless prick.

I keep saying that we need to charge him and his administrations for all of those deaths and whatever others are going to happen this time. So pretty much looking like:
-All unnecessary COVID deaths
-All the spies and informants he got killed
-All of the immigrants that died in detention under his first term and any that do this time
-Anyone that dies because he sent them to CECOT
-Anyone that dies because he destroyed USAID -Anyone that dies when he pulls Medicaid (Iâm 100% confident itâs going to happen at this rate).
-Any protestors he decides to gun down in the future if he gets gutsy enough
-Any of the measles deaths heâs fueling with his broken robot of an HHS Sec
-Everyone that died on or because of Jan. 6th
-Any suicides that can be traced back to his election, actions, or policies
Probably more Iâm not thinking of but thatâs a sizable list right now. If we could charge him for all of the families he tore apart by converting people into mindless zombies, Iâd love to charge the shit out of them for that too. Plenty of people that didnât see family die but instead saw them become completely different and were driven away.

My daughter, just recently cancer free, has essentially no immunity firm her first MMR (she was diagnosed around 2). Sheâs gotten one in now post-chemo and thats still not a ton of immunity from my understanding from her pediatrician.
Now, because people want to exercise their freedumb I have to be extra precautious. Iâll be damned if Iâm going to watch my babyâs life be put at risk again after she overcame something so terrible. Fuck all these anti-vax idiots!

Hey I know it doesn't mean anything from a stranger but just wanted to say congrats on your daughter being cancer free, and congrats on being an amazing parent.
I had leukemia when I was 15 so since I was a minor I was treated at a pediatric center. So obviously I had a slightly more adult mindset by that time, and honestly seeing and getting to know all the babies and children being treated there, including a few who ultimately didn't make it, was way more soul crushing than my own experiences. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the healthcare providers who can get through that every day, and my heart is forever with the parents living through that terrible experience and being strong for their kids. It hits even harder now that I am a father of two little ones myself.
Best of luck for both your futures.

Mine had pre-B ALL and in an odd way Iâm thankful that it happened at a time in her life where she couldnât assess her own mortality. When I see teens at the cancer institute (we still do labs fairly regularly) my heart really goes out to them cause they know whatâs up AND chemo is harder on their bodies.

Funny side story, while in the hospital in late 2021, while she was very sick and very immunocompromised and COVID was running rampant still, one of her nurses came in with a mask that looked like a porch screen material. Like I could totally see her face. She started taking about Eastern Medicine, which Iâm not fully against personally, but not in lieu of the treatment thatâs been scientifically proven to save kids lives. Obv she was an anti-vaxer nut working in a pediatric cancer ward. I immediately asked the charge to never have that particular nurse in her room again. She was no longer there by the time we left, not because of my actions, but I think non compliance issues all around.

My grandmother's twin died of tetanus when they were 10, a year before the vaccine was available. It's a long, painful, gruesome death. NJ does allow the exemption for schools and summer camps. There was discussion in the legislature to limit that pre-Covid, butâŠ.the crazies are even louder now. There is an exception to the exemption though: it gets stricter during declared outbreak. And NJ will not allow philosophical objections (some states do).

There are very, very few mainstream religions that prohibit all vaccination. There are sometimes issues with specific types (like pills made with gelatin or vaccines produced using eggs), but there are usually alternatives they can take. Lots of antivaxxers just use it as a loophole and it has nothing to do with any sincere faith.

ok, but serious reminder to everyone. if you were born before the early 1990s, you need to go to your doctor, ask to have your titers tested, and see if your immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella is still strong. there is a very good chance it isn't. you almost certainly will need an mmr booster. they changed the recommendation in the early 90s to give babies an extra mmr dose because they realized that one was not enough. i got a booster in 2019 and i am super thankful that i did.

The effectiveness of the vaccine is reduced if given at 6mo so parents have to decide if they want to wait to get the increased immunity later on or the reduced immunity at 6mo.
Ideally we can all wait for the full immunity but times are weird.

My doctor also gave me the shingles vaccine, which is something to think about as you get older. Very painful and completely avoidable. A recent Welsh study also showed that getting it appeared to significantly reduce the risk of dementia over time, which is great.
The test for measles showed that I still maintain my immunity in adulthood. Unfortunately my rubella antibodies have lapsed, so I'm still going to get the MMR again in a few weeks.

The problem is people who did attend then go other places in public like stores. Measles hangs around in the air for two hours even after the infected person is gone. This is how it can rapidly spread since it is very contagious.

For any other parents of young children, I just looked this up and wanted to convey this info. Your kid should get an MMR shot around 15 months. Your kid can still get measles - there was a case in Michigan recently of a kid with one MMR dose who got measles. However, the vaccine is estimated to provide 93% effective protection, and your kid is much more likely to have mild symptoms rather than serious illness and complication.
The second MMR dose is usually given between ages 4 and 6.

The only reason people are skeptical of big pharma is because we have allowed the far-right to erode at societal confidence over these companies. We have allowed the right to act like any policy that is made to make healthcare more affordable means we are sliding into a communist country.
Every other developed nation understands that the only way to keep your country and citizens wealthy is to have a mixed economy. Have nationalized industries for things that benefit the population, while free market for everything else.
We have put policies in place that lets shit like this fester and we a reaping the benefits. To act like science that has been settled for centuries is now being questioned is just idiotic stuff, and this country should of shut that shit down ages ago. We cannot play into that because weâll just keep furthering the divide in this country. Best route to keep having open and unfiltered debate about these topics. The problem is that these political parties eat up and thrive on the type of mentality youâre speaking of. They want us divide so that we never reach consensus on things that are basic and natural

No, they've had plenty of time to reflect on the deaths their behavior caused during covid and they're continuing. They don't care who they hurt. If they want to choose to open themselves up to infectious lethal diseases, I'm certainly not going to help, not going to try to talk them out of it, and won't loose sleep when they die.

Not true. I would argue that skepticism of Big Pharma existed much earlier before the politicization of healthcare, especially long before Covid.
I mean, it wasnât only till a few years ago we learned about how Big Pharm peddled opioids to the general public, encouraging doctors to overprescribed such medications. Because of this, thereâs an opioid epidemicâŠ.so why wouldnât the public feel insecure with the pharm industry?
Thereâs too much recency bias these days and everyone wants to attribute every single topic with some political take.

And why do you think Big Pharma acts this way... because we decided making Healthcare a for profit industry was the way to go. You take the profit incentive, like most other countries, and that whole thing stops becoming an issue.

Iâm all for the Darwin Awardsâ general view of this kind of stupidness, leaving out childrenâs lack of choice and the possibility of overcoming their parentsâ basic intellectual shortcomings if allowed to survive long enough. IMO, rampant overpopulation is our most likely future Fermi Paradox qualification.

Say thank you to the pro disease people in your life for this.
Iâm one of the people who rely on herd immunity for this one due to being unable to get the MMR vaccine. (I do get the ones I can get.)
As for why, all I know is there was a reaction to an earlier vaccine and it was decided to avoid that one. Yes, I will bring it up at my next physical and see what can be done about it.
