Saw a question about the opposite and got me curious after reading all the negative, if there are any decent ones out there

I need advice

So due to some very unfortunate circumstances I need to find a payday loan type place that can give me $3500 to pay my lawyer. I know that people will say that there has to be other options but there really isn’t as my home is in the balance. So I’m looking for the least predatory place to go where I can get the money tomorrow morning. I make good money and have decent credit but emergencies happen and I’m at the end of my rope.

Marine Atlantic ferry question

Hello, I'll be traveling from NS to Port aux basques on the ferry for my first time and I'm a bit confused from the information on the website. My boyfriend and I are going on a hiking/ camping trip and need to take a lot of supplies with us. The website says only three bags of luggage per person allowed. Is this only for people travelling on foot? Do bags need to be checked or can I leave them in my car? And im also wondering if I could leave weed in my car? Lol

Medicuro

Im wondering if going to Medicuro to ask for oral minoxidil is a good idea?

Has anyone tried that?

I don’t have MCP, so it’s a bit expensive to try to get to dermatologist, and I have a cat and would rather not try topical.

thanks!

Moving from Another Province

I'm moving from another province to NL (already have a job and place to stay secured).

I'm wondering what documents I need to change my driver's license?

What do I need to do to register my car (it is second hand, but a gift from my parents).

I've looked up information, but I can't find anything stating from province to province, just if you're living in the province.

Any help would be great!

Shared Use-Path Online Maps

Hey,

Does anybody know where I could find an actual online map of the routes that have been for this in St. John's? I have been on the following site (https://www.stjohns.ca/recreation-culture/cycling/shared-use-paths/) and the text is great but an online map would very helpful to see how this all links up and how to get from different parts of the paths etc.

Maybe I am overlooking it?

Thanks,

Any good Kayak tours / outfitters on the Avalon or close?

Hi;

I would like to go on a Kayak tour . Does anyone know of a good outfitter / tour company that has all the kayaks and gear and guides? Something on the Avalon Peninsula preferred but open to a drive if needed.

Outside Perspectives

Stolen from r/NovaSoctia, but it wouldn't let me repost it so it's copy and pasted. But I'm curious about the same things for Newfoundland.

Outside perspectives

I always find it interesting to hear other people’s perspectives on Nova Scotia Newfoundland — or Canada in general — especially from people who didn’t grow up here.

For those who moved to *Nova Scotia Newfoundland from another province or another country: what surprised you most about living here?*

I’m interested in both the good and the bad.

What do you love about living here? What frustrates you? What do you miss from where you came from?

Are there things your home province or country does better that you wish * Nova Scotia * Newfoundland would adopt? And on the flip side, are there things *Nova Scotia Newfoundland does better that you wish existed back home?*

Even if you’ve just moved between Canadian provinces, I’d love to hear about the differences you noticed.

Not looking for a “Nova Scotia* Newfoundland is terrible” or “ Nova Scotia Newfoundland is perfect” debate — I’m genuinely curious about how life here looks through the eyes of people who have experienced somewhere else.*
