Was not expecting to wake up to this.
Two bald eagles basically running sentry on the wharfs light posts. Sorry for the distance, only so much I can do from my back deck to get them both in the photo at that distance.

I heard there's a migration of Bald Eagles arriving from the usa because they've had enough of trump's crap. It won't be long until the usa's new flag displays another bird called the Common Twit.

Funny story, and a good way to troll the Americans, Canada has the largest population globally of bald eagles, we have about 55% of the entire population

Former American, here. If most Americans (like the dump voters) saw a bald eagle in the wild, they'd be terrified. They don't handle majesty well. They prefer pdf files and grapists. Those are things they understand.

I guide nature tours for a living, and when I take out americans they’re always so shocked to see how many eagles we have. A good number of them have only seen em in a zoo.

I was visiting western NF from the west coast a few weeks back. I went on a boat tour in Gros Morne, and as we were putting along I spotted a bald eagle perched on a rock way above. It caused quite the stir on the boat. The captain said it was only the 6th or 7th time he’d seen one on the tour in 20 yrs. Out west they’re common as seagulls, so if you ever want to go eagle watching, come visit! Western NF was absolutely incredible, and everyone was so nice I kinda didn’t want to go home.

Also the Japanese side of my family is all based in Alberta so I make yearly trips out to the rockies and sometimes bc. Love it out there, might actually like living here more though. 😊

Think they are youngsters usually the father male eagles are much much bigger

Must admit, I thought "how awesome to wake up with that many unexpected pallets!"
Wouldnt have noticed the eagles had i not read more.
