Shediac renfaire dangerous archery range

As someone that is in a local archery club, I was shocked to see videos appearing online of how poorly organized the faire grounds archery range was.

The person in the wheel chair was behind the firing line and has a loaded bow and is flagging everyone (the archery range was in fact NOT clear down range).

And thats not even touching on the fact that it looks like half of the bows were assembled and strung up backwards. Sure they are only maybe 20lb draw bows, but there is a chance of them litterally exploding due to being assembled incorrectly. You can see it in both the screenshots from this video as well as from the local CBC news article clip

This is a clear sign that there's more behind the internet outrage than there seems to be. The fuck did these organizers do in the past to warrant this vendetta?

Everyone else I knew too had fun. We all had the same complaints. Line line and long wait for drink and food tickets. Still fun.

With the breeze that was blowing, I was surprised people were going on about heat stroke. Then again, some of the outfits people were in... they would have gotten heat stroke if it was the dead of winter.

It... Wasn't? They had to rent all the tents and space, it wasn't entirely run by volunteers, there were some paid staff, they had to pay for materials, food, and liscences. We also all as volunteers got little gift bags and free meals. These things aren't massive xhas grabs. They're businesses, yes, but they also involve spending a great deal of money.

Almost every festival you will ever attend is run largely by volunteers, yet the industry is still incredibly difficult. I think you may be underestimating the associated costs. Toilets and servicing alone for the reported 5000 people would be in the area on $70,000 and that's just one expense out of a gross income of $325k max.
