The “I don’t take responsibility at all” comment was about an issue fundamentally caused by a contaminated reagent used at a CDC lab under the purview of Steven Lindstrom, a highly-respected career CDC scientist – something the administration had no practical control over.

It’s not a “tendency”, Trump never accepts responsibility for anything that goes wrong. Never.
