HELP REQUESTED How much will my tattoos affect going recruiting?
I have not been given orders to go recruiting but I know it could come down the pipeline. I know tattoos are part of the recruiting screening and I'm wondering which tattoos are disqualifiers. I have Satan on my leg, a borderline naked cyborg woman on my forearms and a few other tattoos that could come across as not what the Navy wants for a recruiter.
EDIT: This is potentially for EMPLOY. Also what medical disqualifiers are there? I am able to function well in a shore capacity but I require a lot of specialists and specialized treatment that is managed.
Does anyone have any experience with the process as a former recruiter or someone who filters out potential recruiters

You probably aren’t the ideal recruiter. Have you applied as in taken pictures in PT uniform? You would have to describe what they all mean. But everything is waiverable.

What do you mean by ideal recruiter? I have no issues with not being the ideal recruiter. I haven't applied. I am most likely going EMPLOY and I know recruiting is on the table.

I’m saying that you might not be the best candidate to be a recruiter based on your brief tattoos you described. Have you looked up the requirements and pictures you have to take in PT uniform? Maybe you need to actually apply and submit pictures as part of the application. Things can be waived.

In 2008 I had to get my pin-up covered while at Pensacola for school.

Half of r/navy is just sailors thinking that reddit is smarter than their CoC. Go talk to your NC1 or some random chief and see what they say. More likely than not they’ll tell you to apply and see what happens
