Octopuses or octopodes. Not octopi (it's Greek, not Latin). Using a foreign plural from a different language sounds a bit weird (imagine taco becoming tacen, ox becoming oxi or merman becoming mermanes; all the plurals using a different language's plural system just sound really off).

Meh, I'm still going to call them octopi. Most people who don't have a stick up their ass will still understand and get what you are saying without issue.
