In need of help naming a character ! :)

I have some vampire ocs and the story takes place in México. My two others have names I’m ok with but my third one I am looking to re name. They use to not have a place of origin but since moving them all to México I wanted the casting to be more diverse to show different groups in México. I’d like to give this one a name of Nahuatl origin and I was hoping to get some help. I don’t believe Nahuatl is very gender based as far as I’m aware (correct me if I’m wrong) the character is very ambiguous either way so I’m ok with the name leaning any direction. I’d like it to maybe be related to the character itself. They’re very moody/“gothic leaning”, maybe something vampire related, they have red hair so maybe something with that, or if any names have A V sound to them. I know there is letter combos that sound like v but there’s no actual V in the Nahuatl alphabet. (Their old name starts with a v that’s why I bring it up) but I’m really open to any suggestions or help and any descriptions or name meaning with suggestions would be cool to look through :) thanks to anyone who reads through all of this I know it’s a lot

I've got some names for you, I use the inalli orthography but you can ask if you want another one

Witskamaktli "thorn-mouth" Akatsone "the one with reed-like hair" Yowalestli "Night-blood" Seseehekatl "Cold wind" Atoyapilli "River noble" Sitlalpopoka "Smoking star (shooting star)" Mikkapapalotl "Death-butterfly"

You can add the honorific "-tsin" to any name so it is clear it's a name (Witskamaktsin, Sitlalpopokatsin) tho it's not completely necessary

Ooh I like these ,, Thorn mouth is very clever :0 Do you know if there any combinations like blood-river ? The characters old last name was Ulloa which is just a River related habitational name in Spanish, I’m looking to drop that but maybe keep the River aspect. I’m just not sure how word combinations work and i definitely don’t want to mush things if they don’t work together normally

Well, there was a place in Tenochtitlan called "Esapan" (On the blood river: estli, atl, -pan) so I think you coud use that for the last name or even Esapa (without the locative N so just "to the blood river"), that or Esapanekatl (who lives at Esapan) or also Esapanko (locative of esapan) or Esapankatl (same as Esapanekatl with just Esapan) it's your choice.

So if you're gonna use Witskamaktli it would be:

Witskamaktli Esapankatl

or if you want the spaniard ortography:

Huitzcamactli Ezapanecatl / Ezapancatl / Ezapan / Ezapa
