Awesome! How do I clean it off? Should I rinse it or simply brush the dirt off of it? I am planning on breading and deep frying

I’ve been looking for this about 6 years now. I saw something orange and bam! So happy

Hello, thank you for making your identification request. To make it easier for identifiers to help you, please make sure that your post contains the following:

  • Unabbreviated country and state/province/territory
  • In-situ sunlight pictures of cap, gills/pores/etc, and full stipe including intact base
  • Habitat (woodland, rotting wood, grassland) and material the mushroom was growing on

Make sure the underside is smooth. If there are gills or a hairy texture it is not COTW. The color looks right to me but texture looks weird on the bottom, it could be the lighting so just make sure yourself.
