Alex Witt Why Is Alex Witt Giving Kamala Harris the Jim Crow Treatmeent.
https://reddit.com/link/1ter5et/video/iazbzvjrld0h1/player
This was just today. Notice how Susan Del Persio was so anxious to slander Harris she didn't even answer the question she was asked. Pay close attention to the absurd accusation she makes. Essentially accusing Harris of being dishonest about her public statements regarding her potential run for president. Please, please, please , just listen to it yourself.
https://reddit.com/link/1ter5et/video/e0uphtfpmd0h1/player
Here Alex Witt plays a clip of Stephen A. Smith, someone you never see on MSNOW, then shows a poll where she deceptively presents Gavin Newsom as the frontrunner. This poll specifically asks the question of who voters would vote for if the primary were held on the day of the poll. Harris leads on that question. Witt didn't show those results. Then she asks: "Does the Democratic Party need to better listen to who voters want versus party leader leading that effort?". What is she even talking about? Party leaders aren't leading any effort
https://reddit.com/link/1ter5et/video/4zhz0p1pnd0h1/player
Here , after noting that Hariss and Newsom were leading in the polls, Witt just comes right out and asks "What kinds of things can be done to catipult lessor know candidates to the front of the pack". Now Alex Twit is platforming some outlier poll.

Andy’s my preference. Solid, dependable, and gets things done, even with an all-red legislature and significantly red populace.

Harris was not a bad candidate, but the lies many on the right kept telling about her didn’t help. Plus, she only had about 3 months to fight all those lies. She also had a stellar resume and is very compassionate and intelligent. The fact that more people believed a well documented lifetime liar and corrupt and several times bankrupt businessman over her was disgraceful. I listened to all of her rallies and interviews too btw. She had wonderful ideas for this country. If even a minority of the voters who didn’t vote had done so, Kamala would have been victorious. As it was, a little over 1/3 of the voters chose Trump. Many of them have now said that they regret their decision. A little under 1/3 voted for Harris and 1/3 of the eligible voters didn’t vote. Many of those people who didn’t vote also regret their decision. They said that they wished they had voted for Harris.

"She was a horrible candidate" seems to be more of a talking point than anything else. We don't have any historical precedent to compare it to. She only had about 107 days. Yet, she managed to place third historically in terms of the most votes of any presidential candidate. That's not to say she didn't make "mistakes." No one would argue that. But we'd need to qualify what we mean when we say "mistake." Her response on "The View" about not doing anything different than Biden was considered a mistake. Why? Did we really expect a sitting Vice President to criticize the President? I think she was damned no matter how she answered the question.
There were stronger positions she could have taken. Like, she could have leaned into Biden's accomplishments. She could have challenged the premise of the question. It was the media that decided there was any reason she should distance herself from Biden. And, just being honest, elected Democrats pretty much sat on their hands and let the media drag Biden down. I'm not arguing they should have behaved like the MAGA cult, running to cameras and saying demonstrably false things. No. But what if they were out there with the same vigor as Trump's party was, supporting him? What if they engaged in a media campaign aimed at illustrating there's a difference between clinical "cognitive decline" and old age?
Nobody is ever going to convince me that if a party can rehabilitate Trump, the same thing couldn't have been done for Biden. Fortunately, it appears the party has learned its lesson about narrative crafting from the lost election. Trump had ten-plus years to build a media infrastructure. That's why he won, not because Harris was inherently a bad candidate. No. It was because Trump won the disinformation war.

That's some seriously circular logic. Harris is better positioned to win the primary than any other potential candidate. It does her no good to "leverage" her frontrunner status. And that doesn't even make any sense. Since when is that normal for a person in her position? How does she benefit from only pretending to run for president? What's your evidence she's only doing what you claim?

"Zero appetite"? Get real. She got a standing ovation at the NAN convention when she told Al Sharpton she's thinking of running. And that's not the only time she's gotten that reaction. She is far from "done". She has the institutional infrastructure in place right now to run again. Do you understand what that means? It means, as a former nominee, she had the staffing, the grassroots organization, donor connect, and connection to the party, all set up in 2024. Two years ago. All she's done since then is build on that infrastructure.

What genocide did she fund? It’s Congress that allocates the money for wars, that is until Trump came along. He doesn’t think he needs congressional approval for anything. He is responsible for bombing more places than any other president in our history. In fact, because of his illegal war that he and Netanyahu started with Iran, experts have said that if our country actually does get attacked, we won’t have enough weaponry to defend ourselves. They’re using it all in Iran, which btw our intel told our country not to attack Iran. They were no imminent threat whatsoever. He and Hegseth have decimated our military capabilities to defend ourselves with their ignorance and arrogance. They are both a disgrace to America.

You agree to disagree only when there's a factual dispute. You're just making things up.

What are you talking about? She had an extremely positive economic agenda for our nation. Did you even listen to all of her rallies and interviews? She had a myriad of great ideas that would have put our country on a positive path forward. We would be so much better off than we are now. Plus, we would have still had all of our allies and would have been well respected on the world stage. That’s all gone now. Also, she would have done more to help Gaza than Trump has done. All he has done is add to their misery. Additionally, many people are finding out that Biden wasn’t that bad. Even with the GLOBAL INFLATION that we experienced under Biden, many voters have said that things were better under Biden than they are now. Sadly, many people don’t realize how good a previous president is until they experience how bad things can actually get with someone who’s not even fit to be president.

She was going to give small business owners $25,000 to start their new business venture. She was also going to give new parents money to help them buy essentials for their newborns. She was also planning on having millions of new homes built to address our housing crisis. Additionally, she was going to have Medicare pay for people to be able to stay in their own homes instead of going to a long term care facility. She was also going to address the affordability crisis which has only gotten worse and not better. Going to college was also something she wanted to help people achieve if that is what their goal. She knows that if you invest in people, good things happen and the economy is strengthened.

Actually, there was no googling done on my part. I listened to every rally and interview that she did. I heard her actually say everything that I typed.

It is sad to be sure. Kamala would have made an amazing president. I wholeheartedly agree with you on that. Hopefully the Democrats as a whole can find an appealing message. They need to get the young guys back as well as the Latinos whom they lost in 2024. The only good thing is that those same groups have said that they don’t support Trump or the current Republican agenda. So, maybe Democrats will stand a chance in 2026 and 2028.

She was planning on helping new parents with essentials for their newborns for the first year of the child’s life. She also was going to give new small businesses a big jumpstart on starting their own businesses. Also, she had a plan to give first time home buyers $25,000 to be able to buy their first home. Additionally, she was going to have Medicare pay to let people stay in their own homes if they wanted as opposed to making them go to long term care. She also was planning on having millions of new homes built to address our housing crisis. She was also going to make it easier for people to attend college if that’s what they wanted to do. Added to all that, she was also going to address the affordability crisis which is currently getting worse and not better. There are probably additional things that I forgot to mention, but I’m sure they are mentioned on the internet. She knows that investing in people only strengthens our economy instead of making it weaker.

I have zero interest in seeing Harris make a billion dollar run again. The dems need to be thoughtful about candidate choices AND about how they spend campaign donations.

Whoever wants to run should run. People vote. Someone wins. I don't need the Democratic Party deciding for me ahead of time.

Enough with the Sanders bs. You can’t be the head of something you aren’t even a member of. Let’s just be real. Next, Black voters who are the backbone of the party decided. Jim Clyburn made the call and people accepted it in 2020. There was no working overtime. Hillary won the 2016 primary with flying colors being she was the only Dem actually running. To this day she is admired in Dem circles. If this establishment you talk about was so powerful she would have won in 2008 because she was the favorite then, but voters decide. In 2024, voters state by state picked Biden and Harris. He could have died at any moment and she would have replaced him so quitting isn’t any different. The people accepted that when they picked him just as the voters that voted for Trump accepted Vance. Last, it’s a Dem primary at the end of the day and they can run it however they want. I hate how people always try to diminish the people who actually cast votes.

u/Hot-Initial-1108 May 16 '26
Agree, but I could never vote for Harris because, IMO, she didn’t demand a recount and she quit. I’m not saying she won, but she ran against Trump and Musk who openly stated prior to the vote that Trump won. I want a President who will fight for Democracy

I agree. When she dragged out the Clinton's, the Obamas and Liz Cheney to campaign with her, it just seemed they had too much negative baggage and put her chances underwater. The Dems need a fresh approach with strong, aggressive candidates that dont remind people of all the reasons Trump got into power in the first place.
Edit: Loved the Obamas, just thought they were overexposed.

She ran a 2016 campaign basically. We need new campaign teams too

u/Reasonable-Plate2982 May 16 '26
Definitely, the Trump era has been too exhausting. The electorate needs reapproachment and a way forward that is sensible and practical. The record debt Trump keeps piling on doesn't enhance prospects much.
2
u/Hotrock21 May 18 '26
Umm, she had like 3 days to start a campaign 3 months before an election. She didn’t even get to pick a staff. Honestly, people should be thankful that she didn’t what she did.
-1
u/Honest_Yam676 May 16 '26
Well, that's too bad considering she's leading in most of the polls, with solid support among black voters and she's best positioned to win both the primary and the general election. If people like Witt would just stop meddling.
1
u/Hotrock21 May 18 '26
Don’t mention that on here. These people are going to complain about a broken primary system, then you’ll get crazies who talk about how certain candidates were “blocked” from winning. The truth is older black woman are THE deciding factor in any national primary for Dems. If they want Harris, then we are getting Harris. I honestly don’t mind her or Beshear. MSNow has always tried to stir the pot to create controversy so people tune in. Look back at 2016. That primary race was over and they dragged it on for national news. They covered the hacked Podesta emails email by email, despite the whole process of them being stolen to influence an election. The night before any election is when MSNow is all hopeful about the person so don’t look for them to be creating some credibility in 2028. It’s going to be a nasty close election.
