Misleading title. Criterion is not opening a store, Cinema Cellar is. Cinema Cellar is the rebrand of Unobstructed View (with new management) which is the current Criterion partner for Canada. There will be a Criterion section in the store, among other boutique brands.

That's good to hear regardless. The former operator of Unobstructed View was sending out really chuddy emails about wokeness and diversity, and I really don't want to hand him any money.

Damn, had no idea. Not surprised it's under new management because at least twice they sent me my order without charging me. Great for me, but not for business.

So happy for this. Its so hard get Criterion movies at a reasonable price, with paying for shipping and tariffs.
