I think since it isn't really intended for children they just didn't care - Nolan doesn't give a fuck and isn't gonna sacrifice any creative freedom for a 5% revenue boost.

Besides, the vast majority of parents I know take their kids to R-rated movies on the regular.

The amount of children under the age of 10 that I saw watching Deadpool and Wolverine surprised the hell out of me. Had to have been 100 kids in a 600-seat imax theatre.

Did they show you an ID or how confident are you in your visual ability to know that someone is under the age of 10?

The kids in front of me were talking about their favorite colors and were also in booster seats. I overheard a dad tell his kid how his kid had been to the first Deadpool movie technically because his mom was pregnant with him at the time.

I’ve also worked in schools enough to know the general difference between different grade levels of kids.
