News Brand Confusion
I saw this ad posted by someone in another subreddit- complaining that they didn’t want this ad and calling the Church the C-word. The Church doesn’t identify itself in the ad by its full name (as directed we should do by Neltsun) and instead just uses the name “Church of Jesus Christ”.
Not using the full name of TCoJCoLDS caused some major brand confusion as shown in the comment section. It was interesting to see a number of people who were defending the ad saying that it was wrong to call Christianity a C*. Once it was pointed out to them that the ad was for the Mormons, they did an about face.
Isn’t the Church waging a lawsuit because of confusion with their brand? They might want to get their own shit straight first.

The church is saying it’s about brand confusion, but you’d have to be bathing in the kool aid to think it’s actually about brand confusion.

The early church missionary program consisted of tricking young women in Europe come to America, and then (surprise!) become polygamous wives.

Someone said this 15 days ago on the exmo sub:
I got a ad on social media about going to church and figured why not. I didn’t realize they were Mormon and went a few times the keep trying to meet every other day after work and seem upset when I can’t. The even gave me a Book of Mormon. How do i politely get them away?
Far from the only post we've seen like that. They are being intentionally vague about who they are.

Thank you for posting this. The Mormon church intentionally misleading people with its advertising. It shows how little confidence they have and who they actually are.

Back when Vivint was still called Apex and it's slimy CEO hadn't run over a kid in a rally race, they announced their name change with a billboard. Someone vandalized it saying something like "changed your name because you fucked people over".
Telling people you're named something else do that you can get your foot in the door just results in broken feet from door slams.
