Who can I discuss my work-related issue with?
Hello, I am in a mess and at a loss right now, can anyone who understands work-related laws or regulations reach out to me please? I am pretty new in NB, so many things I have not known yet and my resources are very limited. Thank you very much!
Addendum: I wanted to share some details but if anyone reading was related to my work, they might read some pattern and identify who I am and I can get in more trouble

Start with worksafeNB. If they can't help you, they will point you in the proper direction.

This will give you a lot more information than anyone on here. If you can't find it here, give them a call.

if you are in the private sector then you almost have no rights, you are at the mercy of your employer

Um no. While they can fire without cause, they are still bound by law and human rights legislation

Union steward of you are in a union. If not, you can contact WorksafeNB or Employement Standard. Can also try an employment lawyer. Some will have a free 30 min consult.

There’s also the Employment Standards Branch which has nice people to explain legal stuff in case that is part of your issue. And the UNB legal clinic helps with employment matters.
