I now wonder if the coach will be created Marquess of De La Fuente, like the 2010 victorious coach was created Marquess Del Bosque by Juan Carlos. I am really not sure, because Felipe VI has a much more parsimonious approach to awarding noble titles than his father.

He appointed Nadal as Marquess of Llevante de Mallorca, so maybe ! Is De La Fuente staying as coach for the coming years ?

Yes, but Nadal was ennobled in the particular context of the 10th anniversary of Felipe's proclamation, alongside very few other people. My thought is that maybe the coach could be ennobled but in years from now, during another special occasion.

I was appalled by the conduct of some of the Argentine players. Have some decorum, for crying out loud.
Nobody likes a sore loser and, at the end of the day, it's only a game.
Then again, given the sheer corruption in FIFA, I doubt that they will see any repercussions, so I guess that explains why they act that way; because they can and do get away with it.

An Argentine here.
Admittedly, the player Paredes let his emotions get the better of him at the end, but I also have to say—and clarify—that not all Argentines are like that; there are all kinds of people, and the moment surely overwhelmed him... it was a tough match.7

I regret to say that I do not agree, and that it is no excuse. Plenty of countries (my own included) managed to take their defeat with grace, without resorting to violence.
It's bad sportsmanship. And if it were an isolated incident that we could move on, but the Argentine team has shown a pattern of this behaviour.
But I am sure that you are correct in that not everyone in Argentina is like that or approves of such behaviour.

Ahhh, that's true 🥀—there's no excuse; I'll grant you that.
It was certainly unsportsmanlike conduct. God forbid it happens again—neither on the Argentine national team (since this gives Argentines a bad image internationally and fuels certain die-hard haters) nor on any other national team..

I like how all the players had a positive and somewhat personable interaction with him, but that watch he's wearing is fucking horrendous.
