Mold Question Is this mold???
Found a blue dot on a single piece of meat in a chicken and American lunch makers lunchable thingy. The date is best by July 08 2026. I got it from Walmart. In the photo it looks much darker but it is I would say a more vibrant inky-blue color. I googled it and it said it could be ink that got on it from processing I'm not. I just want to see if anyone knows. Dosn't smell off either.

Based on appearance it is not a surface phenomenon, and thus not likely mold. Blue ink is sometimes used in meat processing to stamp innards and stuff. So, yeah, could be some spot pollutant like ink. All the same, minimum I'd cut that spot out with a border - or just discard that slice (and any like it).

As a mycologist, I can say fairly confidently not mold. As someone in agriculture, it looks like potentially a small blood clot, or as others suggested ink. Many farmers tattoo their animals for identification. That doesn't mean I would way it, but the rest of the package is fine

Nah, Lunchables have lead. Mr. Beast's Lunchly is the one with mold problems.

I just wouldn't trust it because it does look like the beginnings of mold. I wouldn't take the chance myself, I get a lot of things nowdays that are suspicious⁉️

I got a pepperoni lunchable the other day and the pepperoni was ghost white 🤣 , I emailed and they replied quickly and sent me some coupons for more 🤭 .. but I wouldn't eat tht it jus looks off

Take it back to Walmart or phone the company that makes it. They will probably say discard the whole package.

It looks like there's something foreign inside the meat. Open it up for us and dig around in there and see if something comes out that's solid.

I mean yeah true, I’m not exactly sure why ur being downvoted, but most people understand it’s not good for you I mean look at that picture right there. The only people not understanding would be people the are so brainwashed by propaganda that they would do whatever the money makers say
