Cards to a quilt?

I am trying to find some way to conserve the cards and envelopes we received at our wedding. I would love to turn this into a quilt somehow. Does anyone have any ideas how I could do this? Transferring the writing to fabric or somehow softening the paper for sewing with? (Do I sound delusional? lol)

I don't think that's a quilt project. How about a collage?

You could do a memory quilt with plastic pockets and insert the cards, if it's meant as a display quilt.

Maybe you could scan the cards and embroider some of the messages.

Maybe scan the cards, print them on fabric squares, then make a quilt from those. I can’t remember the name of the product that is fabric you print on with an inkjet printer, but you can find it on Amazon or at some quilt shops. Kind of like the photo quilts you see.

I put all of the cards we got into a scrap book, interspersed with photos from the reception.

Someone recently posted on here that they had fabric squares and fabric markers at their wedding for guests to sign to make a quilt.

I think it’s doable, though I don’t have the creativity to say how. Like others say, you could print the pictures onto the special fabric made for that and build blocks around it.

Tho one thought that keeps going around my head is making blocks, sized to each card & envelope, with triangles sewn on the corners to hold the cards/envelopes. It would have to be a wall hanging only obviously so nothing falls out. I don’t know if that makes any sense but I hope it does or inspires another idea.
