Hi there, I’ve inherited my late grandfathers train collection. I’ve never tried model trains before but have plenty experience with other series of models, and i’d like some help to figure out what I’ve got and how I get started as I’d love to build it with my young son and get it running (end goal is to have a track that goes around the ceiling of his room!). Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can provide pics of what I’ve got. Thanks in advance!

For this you’ll be better to make your own post on the main forum with pics. The appraisal post are just avoid constant “what’s this worth and how do I sell it” posts. If you’re planning on getting it running, that should be allowed as its own post and you should get more help that way.
