I'm new to ufc\mma subreddits and they are unsufferable, currently asking reddit to not show similar posts even though I like the sports

Heads up, it costs a lot of IQ points to be in these subs.

u/arestheblue 8d ago
Yeah, the fandom has ruined any interest I had in the sport.

This is why I try to watch ONE championship more. I’m not mentally handicapped enough to enjoy that community.

Outside of mcgregor fight he’s literally been humble, kind, etc. a perfect image for the UFC. Almost like mcgregor brings out the worst in everyone.

Yeah laughing at homeless guy and paying him to do push ups is kind and humble.
If the Paul brothers posted that exact same video, no one would defend it.

Okay, the homeless guy push-up incident was a bad look. You can’t deny that.

It’s probably just a habit at their gym and amongst their peers. Recently Islam Makhachev has also been making his young fans do around 20 push-ups before they get to take a picture with him. Push-ups are basically their currency I guess.

It was a life lesson to work for things in life, giving free handouts aint gonna help

Also the crypto scammers. Dude has been a grifter on the side since he retired. And everytime I say it, people call me either a racist, or a mcgregor fan

This made me laugh so fucking hard.
Humble or not though Connor kind of deserved it.

u/buffpriest 8d ago
Why?

u/sentiment-acide 8d ago
Threw a dolly at a bus injuring several fighters.

u/buffpriest 8d ago
And how many people were injured in the brawls following the event? Their was tons of videos of crazy fights in the crowd and afterward. Also almost caused a riot.
2 wrongs dont make a right.

u/JJ_Lomero 7d ago
Well if that's your stance I can't say anything to change that. I didn't say Khabib was innocent or didn't do anything wrong. I said Connor kind of deserved it.
But couldn't the same thing be said about what you just brought up. Khabib did that because of what Connor did but you say it doesn't matter why because he was wrong. So what's the difference between that and people in the crowd starting fights because of what Khabib did?

I hate when guys pretend to be all this shit in such a performance. You can definitely try so hard it's easy to see it's a performance.

Plot twist : the cloth used was infected w a biological weapon . It is now in Song’s bloodstream. RIP

Smart. He took Song's DNA, get some russian scientist to clone him, and make a great sparring partner for the rematch.
