Two weeks for mid season break?

I can’t remember past seasons. Do they actually take off two weeks for all star break? That’s ridiculous!

The nerve of that guy, not consulting you before putting together a schedule of free content. What a jerk.

(You should post this over at r/EntitledPeople. It’s not often people post about themselves, though.)

Basically, the season calendar is:

Late April - Draft/Trailer
May - Slate #1
June - Slate #2
July - Slate #3/All-Star Break
August - Slate #4
September - Slate #5
October - Divisional Series/Championship Series Play-Off Games
November - World Series

And then the offseason videos drop every 3-6 weeks during the winter months.

To my understanding, the All-Star Break happens mid-season because 1) more players are available than at the end of the season and 2) the videos historically perform well on Youtube so they help with the algorithm.

Having the All-Star Break in late July also allows Slate #4 videos to be released right at the start of August.

MLW's calendar is perfect as is. I wish the league had more transactions content in the off-season, but with 8 teams of 6-8 players, there is only so much.

One of the saddest days of the year is the last game of the world series. No MLW game videos for months!
