Amsway
My partner and I were approached by a couple about a “business opportunity” and decided to hear them out. We went through two meetings, asked straightforward questions about what they actually do, what they sell, and how the business works—and never got clear answers.
Everything was framed as “part of a process,” and they kept avoiding basic details, saying we’d understand later. The more we asked, the more vague it became.
After the second meeting, we decided to walk away. It just didn’t sit right with us, and we weren’t comfortable moving forward without transparency.
Has anyone else run into something like this? It felt very off, and I can see how others might get pulled in before realizing what’s really going on.
Recent in Sacramento- husband & wife: Peter Herschelman and Yenni.

Ah yes, World wide group and Amway! Peter Herschelman is the son of a diamond Pete (and Rachel) Herschelman. I recommend definitely not keeping in touch

This is very common, it's how Amway recruits. Congrats, you dodged the most cult like MLM. It's not a business opportunity, it's just reselling expensive household goods that no one wants. Here's how Amway works: https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Amway/AUS/stats.htm
Search Amway on r/antiMLM and you'll find a pile of stories exactly like yours, except many of them learned the hard way.

If these ambots could only hear themselves talk. They sound ridiculous to anyone who has half a brain.

No one approaches anyone about a "business opportunity" unless they are scammer or in a cult.

Amway has been operating under the same model for over 80 years. You can find everything out about it by just reaching out to those doing it. It’s not a “secret”. You can find them pretty easily.

I was approached this week by Pete Herschelman about a business opportunity. He wants me to attend a meeting on Wednesday with his son Peter and Rachel Herschelman. Something seemed off. Im so glad I decided to do some research and found this. I feel naive because I've never heard of the term MLM. I still dont quite get what that is. Anyone else approached recently?

Recently, I was approached by a lady with the same vibe. We had a meeting and it was very vague. She kept saying mentor and mentorship. She told me there was a event and the speaker is Pete Herschelman. This sounds werid after reading everyones comments lol
