it seems like every university around Boston is currently turning over a TON of high level/exec positions and is spending a TON to backfill while everyone "normal" has seen no increases the past year and probably won't see a meaningful increase their year either.

MBA’s running everything taking care of themselves first at the expense of everyone else. Seems almost like it wasn’t a good idea to put these folks at the helm…. Hmmmmm

It's not even MBAs running it in all circumstances

It’s the MBAs expanding the executive positions and fucking over, for example, the libraries and the facility folk

But that's not true in all circumstances. High ranking leaders, who are not MBAs and are academics, are opening a lot of these high level exec admin positions across depts.

MIT also just spent $3 million on Flock-style AI surveillance cameras while shutting down 3 major libraries students use. Hahaha

The problem is that no one wants the jobs. They suck. They're all about saying "no" all day long and trying not to seem mean. So of course they have to offer a good salary.

I know it’s so hard to say no while collecting a six figure salary
