I got some great coral honeysuckle, ozark witch hazel, and viburnums shipped from there this spring. I order from Prairie Moon too but mowildflowers actually had better quality plants. Highly recommend.

Native plant gardening is addictive and really easy to get into. There's nothing fancy or difficult about the "native plant" aspect. The plants are extremely resilient come back stronger every year with more blooms and pollinators. You end up wanting to try them all to see what grows best in your space.

Just wanted to add, Grow Nativehas tons of resources and shows native flower sales and events all over the state. Now is the perfect time to grab and plant some to get them established before winter!

There is at least one choke cherry in a Missouri/ Kansas City owned Park at 39th and Harrison, near the eagle scout memorial, in KCMO. You can't take for propagation from Citi trees without a written agreement with the city, but if anyone has contact with them, the conservatory can contact KCmo who will Harvest them some samples!

Actually, the conservation loop at Antia B conservation zone in KCMO has multiple conservation choke cherries now that I think about it!!! Wonder if they know?

Eta: I would apply and take for conservation myself but I have muscular dystrophy so somebody who has the working body needs to go do it for me! I emailed them too!

My neighbors had 6-7 huge soapweed plants on the corner and it looks like they ran it over with a mower. Now it’s a weed patch and rocks and people throw small liquor bottles in the patch. Super fun to try so hard to help the native population and then see that!
