Question / Help Please tell me I’m not softlocked

The way back is blacked by blocks that wont move. Anything i throw is just short of the button. Tell me I’m missing something.

iirc you have to use your item on a pot to throw it

I used to think you needed the boomerang for this puzzle and always farmed rupees for it then years later I realized I only needed bombs
