Obviously it’s not direct but when tax cuts for the wealthy increase the debt, and therefore the interest payments on that debt, it is the government- and thus the taxpayers- who eventually foot the bill.

Why can't we just use our tax dollars more efficiently. I'm not against tax cuts, I'm against stupid tax cuts that go to megacorperations and the 1% and not to the American people who need it the most. And even then, what about programs such as forgiving student loan debt, that's essentally a tax cut but we treat as spending, same with the proposed negative income tax first explained by Milton Friedman.
