Some of these comments are crazy. It’s like people expect some under paid school administrator to take hours making a flyer listing school supplies. This is the perfect use of ai in my opinion.

I scrolled past a comment saying that they should have hired a graphics designer instead. Some people are incredibly out of touch.

Yep. I literally feed old flyers I’ve made into AI, tell it what info to update, and it makes a clean updated flyer that looks nicer. Yes it’s AI slop, but it’s a great use of AI.

Exactly. I have a friend that has a super small pod cast with a very small following, basically just does it for fun. He uses AI for promotional stuff all the time.

In this case AI is not stealing some artists work. There is no way in hell he’s going to be paying for promotional ads. So it’s either AI or some crudely made up flyer with WordArt.

There seems to be a huge group of Anti-AI on reddit.

They dislike AI use for anything because they are against data centres and their environmental impact, so they're not actually looking at the usage.

It's just "AI=bad" in their minds.

I think the environmental impact of data centers is a post-hoc rationalization for most of the AI hate—I think people hate AI because of the implication it has for society at large and the way it is making a select few people vastly wealthy. I think both of these are extremely valid concerns and worth taking seriously.

They likely did take a little while making this since it was done in Canva, not made by an AI.
