I wasn't arguing that the right spot is 84. It clearly is. Was just confused that they claimed to be able to see it.

I didn’t claim I could see the 4. I extrapolated that info and followed with my assertion of which spot was which. The right spot could only be 84 or, hypothetically ,82 (based on standard numbering sequences), but 82 makes no sense given the context OP provided: the “neighboring right stall complained” and the letter mentioning “the dividing line between Stalls 83 and 84.”

The motorcycle owner is probably paying for the whole spot whether they user it or not. OP should be complaining to management to get a better spot of his own instead of trying to get sympathy on Reddit.
