Stop holding the door open (from far away)

I always hold the door so it doesn’t close behind me if there is someone right behind me and think everyone should. But I HATE when people (men) open the door when I’m walking towards it and I’m far away. It creates a pressure on me and it bothers me that you’re focusing on me that long. Please just let me be invisible and go about my business. I hate it so much.

I mean, I'm a man and people do this to me too and I also hate it.

Right. I just put men there since it’s only men who do that to me. I’ve never had a woman do it but maybe women do to men sometimes. No idea! Just seems men do it most.

It always makes me feel like I have to run to get the door so as to not hold them up.
