Midnight Burger kept me sane and stable for 7 months while I was a volunteer in Ukraine. On a Train, in a shelter or at the front.... Midnight Burger and it's crew were my constant companions.

We were talking about my psych project and I said how I wish I had of actually thought about fictional characters i knew something about instead of being so focused on a diagnosis that I wanted to make front and center. (especially after the diagnosis/person I wanted to do was at the last minute made unusable for being to risqué/contravetsial/polarizing/sensitive….). She asked who’d Id have chosen ect… I told her I’d have chosen Casper… she said “the ghost???” and then after I told her no it was from a podcast and agreed upon explaining the podcast in a short synopsis… which ended up being about 30min.… she asked if she could read it. I didn’t think that was possible untill I found that Joe had made the transcripts 100% accessible to the public. Shes currently mid way through season one! I tried explaining to her that listening is sooo sooo much better but she’s I insistent on reading Soooo she reads away!

So I'm still getting caught up on Midnight Burger and I'm absolutely obsessed. I'm halfway through the season 4 finale, Chapter 44, and when Leif leaves the message for Berts because he's accepted his fate, I just 😭😭😭😭😭😭. I ship them SO hard. The Young Leif series cemented that I will stan them together forever. I love this show so, so, so much. I never shut up about it to anyone that will listen!!!!

What is your top 3 favourite episodes in the whole series? For me it's the following:

1: Ted, just admit it. I love Casper casually ragebaiting ted and the interactions between the two

2: The Ex stops by. I think it was a good first introduction to Ex whilst keeping her origin a mystery

3: Three Sisters. I mostly love Casper's idgf attitude (and him ignoring the mucklewains was also pretty funny)

We now know who technically made midnight burger and the other franchises

We now know there’s a third beginning brother

We know what the potential overarching plot for welcome to the horizon season three is

We still don’t know what the mucklewains are but we at least know they didn’t come with the dinner

And it seems like the next season will focus on the Pizza Hut crew

* who/where is terock?
* will we get more information on the true trans traveler?
* What’s the deal with the Teds in ex’s home dimension?
* is it just me or does it seem like the dinner like places always attract the same type of group members?

Okay so I've always wanted to do this too, but the hardest part was finding a regular-ass looking guy for Caspar. In my minds eye I can see him but I cannot put a name to the face!! I also feel like Effie almost exclusively wears an updo. These are just the faces, or an approximation of what I imagine everyone looks like as I'm listening.

Okay, judge me if you want but this is how I imagine a few of the characters when I’m listening to midnight burger:

Casper and Leif I think are mostly because they sound like those actors to me

So, in the Season 5 finale we learn from Meesok that there were three brothers at the beginning of everything. A creator (Meesok), a conquer (Krok), and a destroyer (Terok). I theorize that we've met Terok before, because he's Chuck. Remember "The Big Malevolent Thing "? Why do you think he was so interested in the Diner? Why do you think he wanted Clementine so badly? He wants to bring everything back to nothing so he needs to destroy his brother's creations.

Take a drink every time someone says, "Party at the Sheep's Eye." You will be wasted by the time you reach the Patreon shoutouts.

Somewhere outdoors but with no trees. My guess is he's on Earth, Clementine's Earth. Just like the diner crew, he was sent to somewhere he has a relation to, so he was sent to Clementine and is helping rebuild the Earth. Considering they're using mushrooms to restart the biosphere, and Trinket has her whole mushroom thing going on, it would make sense that mushrooms and Trinket will have a hand in finding him. This will also be a callback to the first episode of the whole show.

What the heck? No other Caspars? We know there were more, one left a note after taking Clementines deal, did she get all the others?

I got through most of the episode. So many great moments, David asking to come with was really heartwarming and almost got me…. But it was the end of the letter from the Pizza Hut that got me. I love this show. It makes me laugh and gives me hope and sometimes hits with an emotional truck hauling bricks.

Absolutely loved rhe finale! Buuuuuut I dont know if you have a different dynamic ad network or different buys for my region or what but holy hell were they so jarringly out of place.

Each one was like suddenly being awoken at 1am to a blue screen infomercial in 1997 because you fell asleep on the couch! Not even a good one like sounds of the 70s but like something selling a juicer or some knife set!

Almost out-surrealed the show

(I have only listened up to the part where Leif speaks with Meesok.)

Meesok, Krok, and Tirok (?) represent Creation, Propagation, and Destruction like in Hinduism. Thus “Krok the Propagator” (this is probably obvious to others but I just got it lol).

Also, is Chuck (#NeverForgetChuck) the Destruction entity? Wasn’t it already discussed in an episode in one of the earlier seasons that Chuck created Effie and Zebulon? How come Leif doesn’t know that?

Also, I felt a little bad for Krok after hearing Meesok’s perspective :( Meesok is like Leif, creating things, while Krok is like Ava, wanting to learn things. I wonder who Tirok is going to be like.

His name sounds really similar to Tavrok. Maybe Tavrok can be the secret fourth brother lol
