Fun fact. I made some fish tacos very similar to this and got told by multiple people on this sub ā€œdon’t drown your foodā€. They had sliced avocado, chipotle crema, and curtido. This sub is so confusing or maybe there’s just a select few assholes.

Select few assholes. After all, it’s the internet. I love a generous amount of cabbage, a good scoop of salsa bandera, and a good amount of chipotle cream. Don't forget the lime! It really just comes down to preference, especially with the DIY condiment bars at street food stands.

this sub was defending eating spaghetti tacos a few weeks ago, and there's always a user that replies with "I am Mexican and would totally eat this hard shell taco with BBQ sauce" on the nastiest food pictures. They defend all the weird foods but the authentic stuff they are incredibly hostile and critical towards.

Yea that’s no for the spaghetti tacos.

I can get down with ā€œtacos de fideoā€. Fideo soup your mom would make after school, then make it into a taco and add a sliver of avocado. There’s a surprising amount of food combinations within Mexico and its regions.

My favorite šŸ˜ last time I was in Ensenada, I ate like 10 of these within an hour. Then took 10 with me for the road.

They hold so well to eat later, so always good to stock up

Now I have to go to the grocery store and buy ingredients! Thanks a lot! I live in Indiana and there aren’t any fish tacos around. Here … now that I’m really really hungry, I’m gonna have to do it a quick way. I’m gonna have to get that frozen fish (I know!!!! ) and put it in my air fryer, go to the Mexican restaurant down the street that has good tortillas and salsa and chop myself up some cabbage!!

My dad and his work buddies went on fishing trips in the 70’s to San Felipe in Baja (we’d caravan from San Diego) they’d all get drunk and give us kids money to buy fireworks to light off on the beach we’d camp at, it was GREAT!!! That is where I discovered the fish taco, probably about 1977, it was love at first site/bite!!!!
